INR - Will eBay accept alternate proof of delivery when USPS tracking lacks “delivered" notification
Here's the scenario so far:
- Foreign Buyer opens INR claim several days after the date the package is received by his Freight Forwarder (FF) in US city; says still wants the item (this statement has disappeared from the case over the weekend and seems was replaced with the full dollar amount of the order).
- USPS tracking history does not show delivered, probably never will regardless of any evidence to the contrary.
- Foreign Buyer’s freight forwarder (FF) emails eBay Seller to confirm receipt of the package from USPS as well as a screenshot of inbound document. BTW this document has a "position field" that states "off shelf"; if anyone knows what that means please let me know. FF also mentions to Seller over the phone that package already shipped to the Buyer’s foreign destination and that Buyer can login anytime to his account with reshipper to get updates.
- Evidence shared with eBay (within case and via eBay Facebook Customer Service), and also with buyer, includes screenshot of FF email and attachment sent to eBay Seller. Buyer has not responded to Seller's messages.
- Unproductive communications with USPS online and by phone also shared briefly with eBay; USPS can't say whether the package was actually delivered because there's no final delivery notification in the tracking, and the USPS response is: "The address provided is the location of a 3rd-party reshipper - Items addressed to a 3rd-party reshipper are not eligible for further inquiry - For further assistance with this issue, please contact the 3rd-party reshipperâ€.
What else should eBay Seller do to get eBay to close the INR in Seller's favor given the lack of delivered scan and USPS position that address is a reshipper and not eligible for further inquiry. Did you encounter a similar INR scenario with USPS or any other carrier? Did you win? What did you do to accomplish this? If there was an appeal what else did you do to get eBay to accept the alternate evidence of delivery and decide the case in Seller's favor?
Any insights will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

·8 months agoEbay does not make provision for exceptions to the rule.
That does not mean that on rare occasions a rational exception will be made, but the likelihood is exceptionally low.

·8 months agoWhat does the last USPS Tracking show? Is it "In Transit" or "Delivered to Agent"? If it's the later eBay should accept that as Delivered.

My guess would be NO.

·8 months agoIt sounds like what you have and who you gave it to (Facebook rep) is well beyond anything I've seen anyone here do to win the INR. -Getting so much cooperation from the FF is especially impressive, wow! But you haven't said whether the Facebook rep replied with an answer yet.
I predict eBay will give the buyer a courtesy refund at the very least.
Never mind that -INR's have nothing to do with the MBG.
