INR New Policy
Ebay evaluates us every 20th of every month, in that evaluation, ebay has calculated the "Late shipment rate" and "Cases closed without seller resolution" In these 2 rates show some idea about INR so why is this new policy?
This policy very badly affects on good sellers because some customers do scams and some customers open unnecessary INR cases may someone didn't know about it and open, For me last month 10 UK customers open INR cases, and 6 customer close them after a few days, 3 customers actually not received at that time because airmail delay and I gave a refund for that customers another buyer do scam and also issue refund that kind of customers. Consider about last year only received 12 INR cases, 1 was received last month this kind of reason, Ebay block the UK and remove all listings and after a few days permanently restricted. I sell on here now for nearly 3 years and top-rated seller in 4 regions, not considering a seller a good thing and restricting this happens to so many genuine sellers, so this is not good.

·2 years ago15 years there were no problems, feedback near or 100%. But now...... just started to develop my own website. My hypothesis is that someone is trying to push out eBay from the market. Or just wants to swallow it - to buy eBay very cheap, when it reach bankruptcy.

·2 years agoIn recent months we have seen Ebay destroying Ebay, with constant restrictions, now, with threats of restrictions and suspensions with this INR, which only makes many sellers afraid to invest in new products, because if they are suspended they don't know what to do with them afterwards, in the last 3 months I have already been suspended 4 or 5 times, for products that I have always sold for 12 years and that now I cannot sell because they decided so, or because the products in question do not have the tag our label in English, they put AI to do the research but we all know that artificial intelligence makes a lot of mistakes, we lose but ebay is also losing, it doesn't hurt but it demoralizes, and I'm 100 percent positive, It almost feels like I'm at school in the old days when teachers used to slap rulers on students' hands when they made mistakes in dictation, sad

·2 years agoYes, indeed - net loss in 2022 was 1,269 $bn.. Seems that they expecting some "little" profit in 2023. In my opinion current INR policy will cause dramatic loses in 2024.
mam98031
·2 years agoI have to admit that the new INR policy that international sellers have to adhere to is a difficult one to be sure. And while I agree it is harsh, I don't think it is going to have as big of an impact on Ebay's bottom line as you believe it will. But only time will tell.

I know that the revised policies on this for International sellers have caused many sellers to lose their accounts. I sincerely hope that you recover and the new year is much brighter for you.

·2 years agoWhere does Ebay say you are sold out of your items. I don't see that you have any items listed.
IF that is what happened, contact Ebay. Per their policy a single buyer can't create this kind of problem for you. It would count as 1.
But per your items sold list, you haven't sold 50 items in the last 90 days, even to multiple buyers.
x-sistema
·2 years agoAlso, eBay lies to all that our shop items are sold out - citation of eBay message "We are sold out, but here are some other stores you may be interested in.". So eBay reputation is dropped dramatically.

·2 years agoHave noticed another eBay weak-headed INR policy trick - if one purchase consists of several different items - but paid as one invoice - and buyer opens INR - for example bought 5 items - then 5 INR will be opened.............. one for each item............... What can I say - great job - eBay 🙂 Just one question - who will bankrupt first - all sellers or eBay itself first?
mam98031
·2 years agoIt has always been that way. As annoying as it is, it needs to be that way. What if the seller only shipped 4 of the 5 items?
And if they were INADs, not all 5 may have an issue.

rugerskick
·2 years agoPer the "new rules"
Like I have said the new rules are more anti-seller, they aren't more seller friendly by any measure.
mam98031
·2 years agoThe changes to the rules for International Sellers are pretty stiff in my opinion too, but in the case of this seller , it appears from their FB they did have a clear and real issue with getting the right items to the buyer as well as a few regarding delivery. It could have been a combination of the two that caused their issues.
Also the seller may have chosen to close their account. We have no way of knowing if Ebay shut them down or if they did it on their own.
FYI it is a updated rule [singular], not multiple rules that changed for the international sellers.
rugerskick
·2 years agoMy comment is about the larger picture here, the rules that affect everyone. This is just a particular example, if its not an example you like or have issue with, there will be plenty of other instances coming where the rule changes will impact and cause problems for good sellers who didn't do anything wrong.
You can't see the forest through the trees apparently. You try to dismiss the larger point made by nitpicking the specific case that brought up the larger discussion point of the overall negative rule change that will apply across many multiple scenarios.
mam98031
·2 years agoLet's use the title of this particular thread. The changes in the INR rules does NOT affect all sellers. It ONLY affects international sellers. You would be incorrect in believing that all rules apply to all sellers. There are differences.
I've asked you for more specifics on what you are seeing as an issue. I was specific, but you did not want to expand on it. Your right of course. Generic or blanket comments aren't really helpful IMHO.
"...there will be plenty of other instances coming where the rule changes will impact and cause problems for good sellers who didn't do anything wrong." Would you be specific about this. What is "coming"? How do you see it hurting sellers in general?
"You can't see the forest through the trees apparently. " You would be correct, I can't, but only because you won't be specific, so I don't know what exactly you are referring to. Makes it darn difficult to see the forest when you don't know where or what the forest is!
I'm not dismissing anything. I want to understand. I'm willing to understand. You just won't get down to specifics except the changes in the INR claims that affect International sellers. I'm not "nitpicking", I want to understand, you are just not willing to get specific.

·3 years agoThe eBay Shipping Performance Policy - Item Not Received Rate launches July 24, 2023. We had no information about this. Rate of non-receipt of items. After launch, there are 4 INR cases in our shop and all the items are delivered, still there are shop account restrictions.
If it is 300 item sold and 4 cases are of INR and it is the buyer's fault then the seller will lose everything.
ebay should think about what will happen to the sellers

For international sellers the INR rules changed dramatically on July 24th. The Community had lots of international sellers stopping in to share that they have had their accounts shut down because of it. It most certainly is a very difficult time for a lot of sellers.

·3 years agoA customer can open an INR file for fraudulent purposes. A customer may open an INR file by mistake. A customer may open an INR file because the system does not know. Or it may just randomly open an INR file for no apparent reason. The problem is that they are included in the seller's INR metric regardless of their authenticity, accuracy and results. This should of course be included in the INR metric if the seller was found to be unfair and upon delivery of the item. However, if the seller proves to be right as a result of the lawsuit, this transaction should not be included in the INR metric. ONLY EBAY NEEDS TO SOLVE THIS ISSUE. That is all...
mam98031
·3 years agoYes. Ebay says they have all that built into their calculations when comparing you with your peers.
This is one of the reasons why I have never thought the Service Metrics was a fair comparison.
mam98031
·3 years agoIt seems that Ebay is applying its new policy early on many foreign sellers. The threads are full of them coming here for help.
Starting from July 24, 2023, eBay will launch the Shipping Performance Policy – Item Not Received Rate.
Sellers with a higher than market average “Item not received†rate may be subject to a range of actions, such as eBay ending or removing your listings, enforcing buying or selling restrictions, adjusting your selling limits and/or suspending all relevant accounts.
12 INR cases in the Service Metrics puts you over the top and subject to whatever your comparison to your peers happens to be. Take a look at your Service Metrics details.

I've been here since 2011 and I've only had 1 INR case.
If dropshipping isn't working out, might want to change that.

·3 years agoYou should really quit stating these unfounded actuations. Each individual case is different. Yes, maybe some dropshippers were caught up the drift net, but so were good sellers.

OP3 years agoI sold my product dear, not year last month, before last month only 2, last month received 10 all are shipped May 23 & 29, Because shipments airmail issue take some extra days, it can confirm 6 customers open case and a few days ago close case, In my 5-year export experience first-time happened this delay like whole shipment. All not buyer can't wait one I issue a refund.
mam98031
·3 years agoNot all of these affected sellers are drop shippers.
The OP ships from their home country. International shipping and tracking doesn't always work well together, which is a lot of the reason they have so much trouble confirming delivery via tracking.
ajs_coins_and_alchemy
·3 years agoI appreciate your insights and your posts, but do you realize how misguided your comparison is?
On this account you've apparently sold like 864 items in 12 years. The OP sold 4,800 items in 3 years on eBay.
Whether you've been on eBay for 1 month or 20 years, it doesnt matter. The number of INRs should be compared to items sold not length of time on the site.
By that rate, OP sold 6x as many items as you, so their number of INRS greatly dilutes compared to yours. They also ship internationally (and more so globally) and that appears to be their primary means of sales. I bet INRs are extremely frequent compared to domestic US sales. All of this dilutes or justifies the high INR rate compared to yours.
