Incorrect address being printed for shipping labels (after deleting old address)
Summary: bhonestcommodities1981 encountered an issue on eBay where their old address appeared on shipping labels, despite having updated it. thriftyfiftyfifty suggested checking if the 'Ship From' and 'Return' addresses were different. a_c_green explained how to manage multiple addresses, while rfmtm recommended editing the return address directly on the label page. bhonestcommodities1981 eventually resolved the issue by accessing the correct settings and thanked the participants for their assistance. This thread serves as a reference for similar future issues.
Hello all,
I am fairly new to selling on eBay.
Each time I print my shipping labels through eBay, they have an old address listed as a return shipping address. I had originally tried to change this using my smartphone; I was prompted to use my PC to make address changes. I used my PC to erase the old address. The correct address has been attached to my account for YEARS! In fact, whenever I am the buyer and purchase an item, the seller gets my correct shipping address (I've never had a package go to my old address).
Yet, when I am the seller and purchase a shipping label through eBay, my RETURN ADDRESS is still listed as my old address. This occurs even though I have erased the OLD address and the only address I have listed is the correct one.
To change my address, I went to Account Settings, Personal Information, then Addresses.
Has anyone experienced this?
Thank you in advance!

·2 weeks agoI don't know if you have tried this, but I'll give you the information just in case. Go into the Site Preferences for Addresses and make sure that ALL the addresses are correct. There are a few different sections for addresses, make sure ALL of them are completely accurate.

·2 weeks agoOn the create label page look to the upper right and click on edit to change the shipping label return address. It will stick, once changed.

·2 weeks ago@bhonestcommodities1981 The Address going on your Printed Labels is the "Ship From" Address and can be different from your Return Address. Are you changing the "Ship From" Address as well?...the other is specifically for RETURNS and can be different or made the same but not really reflected on your outbound labels unless it involves a Return.
a_c_green
·2 weeks agoNo, the address appearing in the upper left corner of the label is indeed the Return address. The "From ZIP" value is that of the Ship From address (only the ZIP is shown), indicating the shipping zone from where the prepaid postage was calculated.
(If you're shipping from a distinctly different ZIP code from your own, use the street address of the post office from which you will be shipping when storing the Ship From address.)
You can store multiple Return addresses and multiple Ship From addresses, so be sure that you have selected the one you want to use for each label. Choices are sticky, so you don't need to access those addresses again until you need to make another change.

·2 weeks ago@a_c_green "No, the address appearing in the upper left corner of the label is indeed the Return address".
Please clarify, because you have the option for your Labels to reflect a "Ship From" Address that is not in fact your "Return Address".

·2 weeks ago@a_c_green Nevermind...I took some time to fiddle around with my Addresses and Label Settings (and included some Forum Searches for clarity) and understand what you are saying now. Thanks for the clarification.

·2 weeks ago@bhonestcommodities1981 Guess I don't know what to tell you as a_c_green has clarified that Label Address is strictly related to your Return Address Settings only. If it is the lone address, don't know why it wouldn't change unless there is some type of latency delay (slow updating). Any changes I make I can see are almost immediate to include on the eBay Labels "Return To" setting. Have you tried to Edit there or does it not reflect your desired address either?
