In the absence of evidence does eBay side with the one ( Buyer/Seller) that has the higher feedback?
Let us assume that we are now facing a case and dispute regarding a damaged product, a counterfeit product, a product that is not as described, or any of these reasons, but we are facing a seller and a buyer, both of whom do not have any evidence for what they say. In this case, will eBay stand aside with the person who has a greater reputation? On the site, represented by its feedback

As you have been told on other threads, eBay decides cases based on eBay Policy and the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
If the buyer files and "Item Not Received" dispute and the seller responds appropriately with delivery confirmation that meets eBay's criteria, the seller will prevail.
In almost all other cases, the buyer will prevail. Feedback is not considered.

·2 years agoPeople like to say ebay always sides with buyers.
If they mean ebay allows a buyer to return an item when they believe it's defective then yes that's true.

·2 years agoYou're describing a NAD case and in such a case, ebay WILL side with the BUYER. It doesn't matter if either or neither has "evidence."
Again, "reputation" and feedback count do not matter.

·2 years agoAlso, time on this site makes no difference.

·2 years agoNor does feedback. How often do we see posts from long-time sellers here asking what they should do because they accidentally switched labels on two packages and the wrong buyers got the wrong items?

·2 years ago99% of the time, they side with the buyer. Period. Even if tracking shows delivery, you might be out of luck.

·2 years agoThis is not correct. Ebay has very good Seller protection for INRs when the tracking shows delivered. Now without electronic tracking, that would be different. But if the seller has electronic tracking that shows the item was delivered, the seller would be covered against an INR.

·2 years agoThey usually take the buyers side.
They need buyers more then sellers so they are going to do what they have to keep them coming back and spending their money.

No, they will more often stand with the buyer in most cases regardless of feedback scoring. Depending on the seller's performance level, return options, etc, they may have some protection in place, but this doesn't guarantee anything either.
Is this about the same sale you have posted about previously? If you are trying to get an answer that is different than was was already given, not sure there is anything else to add that will make you feel better about it.

·2 years agoMost times yes, but not all the time. Depends on the case and it depends on the evidence. Sometimes the seller does prevail. Certainly not an easy task, but it happens.
iamalwaysright
·2 years agoYea but the OP mentioned when there is no evidence. I’d say given that parameter, eBay will side with the buyer. Under different circumstances, that’s another story.

NO, never. Ebay does not take into consideration the members feedback history or how long they may be a member on the site.
Please know that the different reasons for the dispute matters as well as the Seller's return policy.
This is a policy as a buyer and as a seller you need to know completely. It is a long policy, so take your time with it. While you may think the policy is all about the buyer, it is NOT. It is so very important that you know and understand this policy.

·2 years agoAbsolutely not..99.9% Ebay will side with the buyer. Feedback means nothing, especially for buyers, who can only receive positives.A buyer does not have to 'prove' anything, tho Ebay requires a photo with a snad return.

eBay will side with the buyer if it is for one of those reasons.
