I'm thankful for the sale ... but puzzled.

·2 days ago · EditedJames, why are you charging your customers $8.40 to send this 5x7 sheet of stickers via USPS Ground Advantage? If you're insisting on the tracking, that's one thing. But you could have sent it First Class Large Envelope for just a couple bucks and marked it as shipped in your Seller Hub.
If you have more listings that can go USPS FC, consider using it. You may even discover more interest and purchases from buyers when they see lower overall costs or when a low FC shipping cost is baked into the price.
I've shipped literally thousands of items over the years via USPS FC Letter with a stamp or two, or FC Large Envelope with stamps or a label, and to date have only had to pay 3 INRs because of no tracking. The incredible savings on shipping costs, and extra sales more than makes up for only 3 INR refunds out of thousands of such FC shipments.

·2 days agoWho's going to pay? The type of buyer who will buy an item at full price rather than make an offer, even when a seller has offers turned on.
Back when I kept Best Offer turned on all my listings, easily the majority of buyers bought at full price. Some probably had no idea what a Best Offer was and others didn't want to wasite their time. They just wanted the item.

Sellers may prefer to have the "insurance" against lost INR claims, but it is not a requirement.
If your item can be sent LetterMail (First Class -whatever USPS calls it) it is worth running the numbers. Given the number of claims you have historically had, is paying extra for tracking useful or a waste of money?
Most of my items can be sent domestically by Canada Post as lettermail if they are under 500 grams and less than 2cm thick.
That's between $1.24 and $6.85 Cdn. The cheapest tracked parcel would be $12 (eBay has a discounted promotion, Expedited Lite, that starts at $6.85)
On a hundred packages under 30 grams that's $124.00 instead of $685.00. How many $25 items can I emotionally afford to lose?

·2 days agoHey if someone wants the item bad enough they are willing to pay the extra cost in shipping. Majority of the time that doesn't happen though.

·2 days agoRecently, I’ve sold a few items priced between $3 and $6, and buyers have been willing to pay the $6 to $7 shipping.
