I'm not receiving phone notifications for the most important things I rely on as a seller.
I've become quite disheartened with selling on eBay. I rely on the eBay Mobile App to keep me informed regarding customer inquiries, Best Offers, and most importantly, my sales.
I no longer receive such notifications reliably.
For the first four years of selling on eBay these functions were 100% reliable. For the last 18 months ... getting these notifications has been completely unreliable and capricious.
I've phoned customer service repeatedly ... followed all of their recommendations. Made certain my phone's settings were correctly set.
I've went into eBay's Mobile App settings and via web browser on my computer where I double and triple checked all the appropriate settings.
After most of these customer service contacts I believe the problem has been resolved by turning these settings on and off and then on again. I do the notifications Diagnostic test.
And the test message registers as a notification on my phone.
Following these episodes I will the receive the various seller notifications for awhile ... but then a few weeks go by and I discover their are messages received, or worse sales made where I wasn't notified. Most of these instances were caught in time to enable shipping within the 4 day window ... but only just barely.
If anybody has experienced similar issues and found a resolution I would be happy to hear how they diid.

·4 months agoUse the website. Check it daily. Email notifications are usually reliable, but you still ought to log in to the website every morning just in case. Phones are a handy tool, but they are not a replacement for reliable technology.

·4 months agoThe only 2 things I use the app for is:
*To see if I have any sales while I'm away from my computer.
*To see if I have any messages when I'm away from my computer.
Both work fine for me.

·4 months agoTo start I personally have no issue receiving these notifications however I do not rely on them at all. I rely on checking Ebay directly. Which is why you should actually go into "My Ebay" a few times a damage and just check for messages from buyers, offers or sales in general. Waiting say 4 days to barely catch something isn't good. Which is why it is important to check daily.

·4 months ago@drmfreak102 Listen, the eBay app is not set up for sellers. It is geared toward buyers. I cannot imagine trying to run my eBay business through the app. What a nightmare. It doesn't matter how it used to be. The point is, in its current state, it should be called the eBay Buyer app, because that's what it is.
If you want to keep going down the same road, have it. Maybe someone will come along with suggestions. My suggestion is stop relying on the app, and start using the website to run your business. It is so much easier. Expense you a tablet and you can even work from your easy chair. This will give you a larger screen than a phone, but you will able to use the more (normally) reliable website that is more seller friendly.
