If I decline an offer from a Buyer, Can they come back and make another offer? Will EBay allow this?
Summary: A discussion was initiated by danapointbooksandart with a query about whether a buyer on eBay can make another offer if their initial offer is declined. The participants, including ryry-jj, buyselljack2016, reallynicestamps, and luckythewinner, engaged in the conversation, but the specific content of their responses is unclear as the details are marked 'None.' The dialogue reflects multiple interactions from the community, albeit without explicit content provided in this transcript.
I recently declined an offer from a buyer. My understanding is that even if declined the first time, a buyer can come back and make another offer, and that they have 4 chances overall to do so with each item. Is this correct? Could it be something on their end?
My buyer wants to make another offer on this item, but says she cannot do so, that EBay won't allow it. This mystifies me because my past experience has been I that I have gotten second offers frequently when I have declined first one. So, how do I help this customer? Anyone ever had this happen?

·4 months ago@danapointbooksandart Do as others have directed before your buyer moves on. Find out what her offer is. If you like it, edit the listing to that price and tell your buyer to go buy it. Give her a set time to make the purchase, like by 6pm ET Sunday. If they have not, edit the listing again and raise your price back up.

·4 months agoIt's very easy.
Agree on a price, and then edit the price on the listing.

·4 months agoI have my BOs set to make automatic Rejections below set parameters, and automatically accept above others.
(eg Asking $100, automatic Reject $75, automatic Accept $90)
This allows the rejected customer to make more offers, and I have seen up to three before they hit my sweet spot.

OP4 months agoThat's a good idea and a possibility. How many offers do buyers get per item? Is it four?

·4 months agoI have seen it say that the buyer has 4 more offers after they have made one so I'm thinking they have 5 opportunities to make an offer.
You can always counter with an offer that you feel is fair but I never dip too low because I don't bid against myself.

As a work around you can just lower the asking price to an agreed offer amount, and they can then just purchase rather than make an offer.
