I want to know something about selling

Hello everyone, As I continue to study sales and the advice I come across, there is one thing I have come to realize.I want to know if we make a loss when we sell for the first time? Isn't it?This question may be pointless. Because this is something that suddenly occurred to me.My opinion is that when we sell, we have to suffer a small loss.I would also like to ask you about this. I am waiting for your best answer. When I started selling here I was selling stuff that I made. I invested a lot in special papers, dies, paper cutters, etc. Then I worked myself into the ground bein a mother of two small kids and trying to get this business off the ground. Starting sellers should not be selling, if they can't make a profit. That being said, the only time a seller should think of taking a loss, is if they have a large inventory that doesn't sell. Selling that unselling product at a loss, can generate needed cash, to purchase a more profitable product.

What @inhawaii said. You absolutely do NOT have to incur a loss when you sell. I've never once had a loss on any item I've sold & I've been selling since 97.

If I wasn't making a profit, I would choose not to sell or choose to sell something else.

No. When you sell you don't have to suffer a small loss.

What you have to do is figure out ALL your costs/expenses.

The cost of the item.

The cost if shipping.

The cost if ebay fees.

ANY other costs like supplies, packing material, packing tape, etc.

After you figure out your total cost, then you can decide wha to price your item at and how much money you want to make.

You also pay eBay to sell here which is deducted immediately upon the sale. Selling fees | eBay

Yes, in business sometimes you will take a loss. We all do. There are no guarantees, so you have to work hard to make sure you are selling what people want at a good price with fair, fast & safe shipping, especially because you are an international seller.

Many sellers come here and take a loss when selling the first time. Be proactive and don't be that seller. Good luck.
