I sold a Bose radio with CD player and the buyer returned it because they said it was defective

You had this listed as "30 day returns, buyer pays shipping". Did the buyer pay shipping or did you pay for the label for him to return it?
If a buyer files a return claim saying they don't like the item or they changed their mind, that is considered a remorse return and the buyer has to pay for the return shipping. But if a buyer files an "Item Not as Described" claim, the seller has to pay for the return shipping, so buyers will often lie, saying something is wrong with the item. Sounds like that's what your buyer did, claimed defective so that you would have to pay the postage to get the item back.
At least you got the item back safe and undamaged so you can sell it again.

·1 year agoYou will not garner any 'marks' against you as long as you approved the Return and refunded when you got it back. 🙌
