I responded to the wrong person's feedback
I responded to the wrong person's feedback... It wasn't too awful but I mentioned a buyer should pay before I leave them feedback. This person did pay and we both left positive feedback.. However in some scroll fluke my comment went to the wrong person. Can I take it back somehow?

·2 years agoI'm read many posts recently about the changes ebay has made for leaving feedback. It's sounds like it is more difficult now and easier to make mistakes. I looked at your feedback given to others and the comments were all the same. I didn't see one stating they didn't pay (don't do that anyway), but I saw your follow-up stating a feedback was giving incorrectly. Did you say they paid when they didn't?
Anyway, I have my account set to leave feedback automatically when a buyer pays. My comments are all the same (just as yours are), so my solution to you is set them to automatic so that you don't mistakenly give one to someone that doesn't pay.

·2 years agoWhy would you even leave feedback before they pay? Saying something like that in a feedback is useless. It isn't something between you and any buyer - that is between you and eBay.
I don't leave feedback before a buyer pays. What in the world would you have to feedback on, prior to them paying?
Buyer feedback seems rather pointless when we really can't do anything besides either not leave any feedback at all, or leave a positive. So I just say "Thank you for the prompt payment" and go on my merry way. AFTER they pay.

·2 years agoI don't think sellers can if i am not mistaken. I would send a message to the buyer to let them know the mistake and you apologize. Also you can let them know that you will add a followup response to there feedback left saying "Buyer was great and paid immediately, i mistakenly left feedback that they did not." or something to that affect. They could do the same to your feedback as well.
Honestly i don't think its a big deal in the long run for the buyer but you may just want to extend an apologize so they understand what happened.
- Good Luck and there really should be a way to fix/revise feedback that Sellers leave as well.
edit. If the buyer is distraught over the feedback, they could ask for the feedback to be removed but i don't think its worth the effort since your feedback really does not sound bad. IMHO
