I received a message from eBay
I got a message from eBay today telling me
this
We had a concern with a buyer's account
Hello christian3_6,
We wanted to let you know that a bid for the listing below was canceled because of an issue with the buyer's account:
197940076110 - Vintage Junk Drawer Lot Jewelry & Misc Wear Repair Craft rings earrings watch
We understand that this must be disappointing, but unfortunately the buyer is no longer registered on eBay so we had to cancel all of their open transactions.
Here's what you should do
Don't complete the sale or ship the item to buyer if you haven't done so yet.
Don't communicate any further with buyer, especially if they get in touch with you outside of eBay.
If buyer requests a payment or refund, don't send any money without contacting eBay first. If payment was processed, a refund has not been issued yet just in case you've already shipped the item.
If you already sent the item, contact the shipper to find out if you can stop the delivery and have the item returned to you.
If your listing has ended, you can relist your item.
I sold to that buyer and the tracking number shows that it was delivered, so do I need to do anything else?

·8 months agoeBay should be able to see that you've already shipped and that the package was delivered.
So I think you're good, but you could reach out to eBay to confirm, if you wish.

Do I have to go to the post office? I don't understand.

·8 months agoSorry, but it is MORE than obvious that you cannot stop a delivery that happened 20 days ago.
Do nothing.

·8 months agoThe only reason eBay tells you to attempt to intercept the shipment is so eBay would not be on the hook for any refunds. It is NOT because they are doing something to protect the seller.
This type of notification is somewhat common but I have never heard of a seller actually having to absorb some sort of cost for just letting the transaction go as normal (especially when it was shipped before the notification was sent).
