I noticed something different (worse) on the shipping label page.
Summary: A participant discusses noticing differences on the eBay shipping label page, referring to technical issues that have been previously mentioned in other threads. a_c_green mentions a specific issue related to missing data and errors in the new Buy Shipping Label form, sharing a link to a post in the Technical Issues group. They have also sent comments to eBay about the problem, seeking further details to gather more examples. tobaccocardyahoo, however, notes that this change does not affect their workflow as they rely on a packing list for shipping.
On the shipping label page, upper right hand corner...
With the small picture of what was sold there used to be a bright red circle wih the number "2" reminding you that you are packing 2 not 1. That came in handy for me. It's no longer there.
There used to be info as to what it is you sold/are shipping., example "t-shirt, black, large". That came in handy for me. It's no longer there. Now there is just the small picture and it says says "1 item" and "$25.00" that's all.
Anyone else notice this?

·4 months agolike @onlinecentral I never noticed this feature. It does not matter to my workflow.
I always use a packing list as my pick ticket and it is the final authority on my shipping process.

·4 months agoYay, my labels have reverted back to a useful screen as of this morning. Hope it sticks.

·4 months agoSo glad someone else mentioned it. Not only that but you used to be able to click the link that was attached to the sale. I sell multiples of items sometimes in seperate listings since some are in different condition. I have a sticker on every item that I make sure is in one of the pictures. Also that way the customer knows they are getting the actual item they purchased. I used to be able to click the link to see the picture of the sticker so I know I'm sending the correct item. This worked so well and when the changed it I about lost my mind.
Does someone from Ebay just wake up one day and say to themselves, "Let's see if we can make things harder for everyone" ? It's a daily crapshoot on what they are going to change. They really need to hire someone who is a seller to bounce ideas off of, or stop in here on the threads and ask us if we think it's a good idea or would it make it harder. You would think they want to make things easier for us since we are the revenue stream. It's always some dumb idea that takes three more clicks to get to what we need. Time is money.
Which reminds me, I need to see if the three dots are there to put in feedback on what they changed. Need to make a sticky note for my next sale. We definately need to give them our feedback on this one because it's stupid.

·4 months agoYes. There have been a few threads started about this. Here is my post in the Technical Issues group about it:
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Report-eBay-Technical-Issues/Missing-data-amp-errors-in-new-Buy-Shipping-Label-form/m-p/35612029#M153571
I also followed the link on the Shipping form for sending comments to eBay about it. My post was too long to fit into the 500-character limit on their comment form there, so I just stuck in a summary and a link to the original post above.
@kyle@ebay : I did see your earlier reply in another thread about this problem. Can you please add the link above to your problem report, and also let us know what the ALERT number is for this case? That will make it easier for us to pull together more examples to pass along. Thank you!

·4 months agoAbsolutely do not like this change, had someone buy 3 of the same item and only caught it because I saw what the order total was.

No. I did not notice this glitch. Maybe my procedure to fill orders is different than everyone else.
I get the Custom Label/SKU, quantity and the link to create the shipping label from the Manage Orders Awaiting Shipment screen.
I put the merchandise into boxes based on that Awaiting screen and ignore the money and quantity on the Create Shipping Label screen.

·4 months agoI can't affirm until I get another multiple item order, but I'm pretty sure the red # circle also appears on the awaiting shipment page. I'll have to check when I get another one as to whether it's still there or not.

·4 months agoI thought the whole idea of the red circle # was so you's see for sure that it was more than 1 item bought.
I very nearly sent someone 1 item when I realised when I went to do the label that they'd bought 4. Not good.
Also you CAN see the item if you click the '1 item' thing, but why add another click when it used to be right there on the **bleep** page?

·4 months agoThey also removed the "Custom SKU" from the order details. I use this a final verification that I am shipping the correct order. Obviously these changes were made by someone who has never actually shipped an order before. They need to be brought back ASAP!

·4 months agoIt's a very bad look for eBay that this has taken so long to fix.

·4 months agoagree it's bad.........can't imagine people people with small part stuff being able to tell what the picture is. And, if I remember correctly, there's no ? on the page to complain about it......

·4 months agoI looked for a way to voice my displeasure, but didn't find any. I don't like changes that make no sense at all and waste more of my time. Mistakes will be made due to this.
