I need to update my information with ebay.

I got this notice today on my seller hub that I "need" to update my information by April 20th.

Clicked on the link.

I reviewed my information, it's all correct and hasn't changed.

Clicked on "done" and it thanked me for updating my information.

Anyone else get that?

If you reach an annual total revenue of $20,000, weâ€™re required to include your name (or company name) and full physical address in the buyer's purchase confirmation emails and order details. However, there are some exceptions that allow us to share a partial address with buyers. For example:

1) If your address is your residential address, only your state and country will be shown.

2) If you use a different address for product returns, then that return address will be displayed.

The INFORM act of 2023 requires eBay to have "current" information about sellers of new and unused items.

I suspect they want these sellers to review their info periodically so eBay can make sure it is "current".

This has to do with the new law going into effect, not just a random update. If you read the email it explains why you need to update the info, which if I remember right, will be on full display in your listings now. Unless something changed that is. This was a policy/law from the last administration.

Huh? What email? Can you copy/paste the content from it? It's possible you received a fake message from a scammer.

Mine wasn't a email -or- a message,

It was an actual "NOTICE" on my seller hub with a clickable link.

Yeah that's what I pictured. Something you couldn't just bypass or not notice, like an email.
And I feel like if eBay was going to start showing our "info" on our listing, there would be a lot of uproar about it here in the forums. Well, maybe depending on what "info" would be going on display, LOL.

Mine was all three. Email, message, and notification on top of my seller hub page. I received it around 9:40am pacific time. The title of the email is â€œTime to recertify your information for INFORM Act compliance.â€
