I NEED A LINK TO REPORT AN ENTIRE STORE
Can someone please provide a link. There are so many sellers sharing their Contact info which is absolutely against Policy. AI is so stupid and just replies that the listing is not in violation. HOW? There are phone numbers on the listing pics and in the listings.... even encouraging to call them for more. There are so many. I may not reply until Monday but thank you in advance. Have a great weekend!

·4 months agoGreat Detective work !
Give you a little story for you to chew on.
I listed something and went back the next day to see how my placement was. Upon looking I noticed that someone else was selling the same thing and had 23 listings in a row all for the same price, same wording. Only difference was their inventory # at the end. All 23 were right above me. A Rule infraction for sure. They were also a Sponsor which means they are paying big to promote. All I did was lower mine 1.00 less than theirs. Hour later I was packaging mine up and shipping it out because it sold.
Moral to the story- Only worry about what you can control and good things happen. Don't waste your time worrying about what you can't control. In the time you spent to write your post and rant, you could have listed 2 items and maybe sold one already. Life is too short to not make the most of what we have.

·4 months agoI will sometimes have a large stock of the same used item, but since each one has different wear on it I sometimes also end up with "Blue Gizmo #1", "Blue Gizmo #2" etc.

·4 months ago@wheelworkzmurfreesboro Besides needing to go outside and touch some grass, you should go read eBay's User Agreement very s-l-o-w-l-y. Then keep reading it until you understand it.

OP4 months agoDo you understand its against ebay policy to share contact info in your listings?
onefootflipper
·4 months agoThis is a bottomless pit of unpaid work that will never ever remove any of your competition.
Usually nothing will even happen. If something does happen then they will get a very short suspension and have to redo their listings.
In no case will it positively flow any cash to you. Ebay doesn't even pay people to look for this. Why would you do their work for free?
wheelworkzmurfreesboro
OP4 months agoI'm not trying to do that at all. I just run across it so much when im searching comps.
wheelworkzmurfreesboro
OP4 months agoIm small potatoes here and by no means am I trying to eliminate the "competition"
It just amazes me how dumb AI is or that ebay allows it. We sell in the same category. I mostly list discontinued center caps and a few wheels here and there.
Watch my listings come down if I sneak a picture of our contact info into a photo or spell our number out in the listing.

·4 months agoThey are very lax about the auto parts categories because they have let them get absolutely out of control to the point where most of the listings in the category have some serious issue, and if they started cracking down on enforcement on old listings than they would probably lose 80 percent of the listings in the category and this is a category that matters to the ebay brass.
They haven't even done anything about the several different sets of viral item specifics that cause some listings to hit on basically every search in auto parts. I call them viral because they reproduce via the "sell similar" button. This has been going on for years.
If you want to see an example of those item specifics then just search for a nonsense auto part, like 1933 Ram Air Piston OR Willys 170 Window. The system will likely filter down to 60, but if you click through there will be thousands of listings and they will have item specifics with hundreds of keywords in them.

·4 months agoI know you are trying to do the right thing by reporting all these listing you see but at some point it will just be a waste of time cause nothing really is going to happen other than the ad will be removed then the seller relists it. Action against the seller will not happen unless many members report them.

·4 months agoIt’s simple, 'Follow the money.' Big sellers bring in big fees, so the policy police take a coffee break.

If you think a hobbyist and a corporation operate under the same strict enforcement penalties, prove it.

·4 months agoYeah, no, that's not how it works. If you make a statement that someone else challenges, it's on you to prove your statement is not false.
ten_o_nine
·4 months agoThe post is about that, so you'll have to prove it isn't?
wheelworkzmurfreesboro
OP4 months agoHow is it false? There are multiple accounts sneaking their phone number in to facilitate outside contact leaving ebay out and allowing contact outside of ebay.

·4 months agoHundred percent you are right – I see it on occasion. even worse – and what is so easy for eBay to find – are those sellers that use their email address as their username.

Are you wanting to report all of one seller's listings (their store) or "so many sellers" (meaning lots of sellers)?
You would have to report listings one at a time; you can't do multiples in one fell swoop. I have read on here but do not know if it is true, that eBay frowns on anyone reporting "too many" listings as it looks like a competitor doing the reporting.
Speaking of competitors, I'm going to take a wild guess and guess this seller (or sellers) that you refer to, sells the same kinds of things that you do?

·4 months agoAnd why does it bother you so much? Is it affecting you or your business? or is it just because you are making yourself the rule monitor, I wish I had time to worry about what other people are doing.

OP4 months agoIts a BLATANT violation of policy. Its sharing contact info
