I misplaced a package
Summary: bashort shared their experience of mistakenly placing a sold item in the wrong tote and immediately refunded the buyer, offering to send the item for free. They also recounted a situation where a recent purchase from a new seller had shipping issues, leading to a canceled order. However, they handled it amicably by asking the seller for a chance to repurchase once the listing was corrected. mam98031 commended bashort for their actions, expressing hope for a positive outcome.
Today I came across a small item that was sold 8 days ago, had a label and everything, I had a tote of newly listed items sitting right next to a USPS tote and must of dropped it into the wrong one.
I immediately refunded the entire amount, contacted the buyer ,apologized and told them I was still sending it no charge.
Hoping for some good karma from a recent purchase I made from a brand new seller, they messed up the shipping and it was going to cost them way more than I paid so they canceled, made me mad at first but after thinking it over I just contacted them and said, hey I think I should get first chance to repurchase after you fix the listing, let me know when it is relisted, they did and I repurchased it.
But If I get a red donut on this one I deserve it.

·1 week agoStatistically, you should avoid the red donut.
The number of buyers who leave FB are a minority. Among the rest, most are decent human beings, who may be thrilled to have gotten a freebie without beating you up.
Over the years, I have gotten positive FB when a negative would be justified, and negatives which are not.
Just do the right thing, and ignore thoughts of FB. It matters less each day.
