I LISTED A KEY DUPLICATING MACHINE AND A MENS MAGAZINE "GENT AND BOTH WERE REMOVED AND OTHER SELLERS
Summary: ffodrot raises a concern about their listings for a key duplicating machine and men's magazine being removed from eBay, while similar listings by other sellers remain active. eburtonlab explains that listings may be removed for specific reasons, including participation in eBay's VeRO program or reporting by others. They advise against relisting removed items to avoid account issues. albertabrightalberta and pickapaper assure ffodrot that there is no specific AI program watching him more than others, but caution that continuous listing of prohibited items could increase scrutiny. kensgiftshop provides a link to eBay's policy on prohibited items.

Here is what eBay says about removed listings:
If your listing is removed or hidden by eBay, you may see similar listings still active on the site. This could be for several reasons:
If you think another listing isn't following our policies, please let us know and we'll investigate."
Do not relist a removed item, as your listing is likely to get caught again with more serious consequences for your eBay account.

·4 months agoThere's no conspiracy targeting you. I assure you of that.
You might want to end those other Penthouse, Swinger and (S)express listings before that same "AI program" finds them too.

·4 months agoNo, there is no AI program that "watches" certain sellers. However, if you keep listing things that are prohibited or not allowed, you may well be on eBay's radar, especially if you try to relist things that have been removed.

I doubt that that is actually true, but even it were true it does not matter.
No one has a right to violate eBay listing policy and be "unwatched" by AI or by anyone else when doing so.
You have no idea how much "watching" is being done by AI, you can only infer things based on your listings being caught and removed, and your observations of other listings that do not appear to have been caught yet. You have absolutely no way of knowing how many other listings like yours were also caught and also removed.
Unless you were prevented from listing entirely, you have no way of knowing if your listings were caught by AI or by a simple keyword scanning routine or even turned in by other users that spotted them. You have no way of knowing if the active listings you still see have all the same characteristics your listings did, whether those sellers may have some authorization you lack, or indeed whether they have been caught before or if they are about to be caught now or soon after.
It is entirely possible that having been caught more than once, your listings now qualify for additional scrutiny as a direct result of your prior actions. All the more reason to take additional care to avoid violating listing policy now and in the future.

" LISTED A KEY DUPLICATING MACHINE AND A MENS MAGAZINE "GENT AND BOTH WERE REMOVED ..."
It is amazing how many people come to this forum complaining about eBay stopping them from selling potentially illicit items. A key duplicating machine, really? EBay may be doing you a favor because if a burglary ring got ahold of it this item will be traced back to you. You may be saved from a police visit.

Many magazines with sexual content are censored.
You got caught. The others have not yet.
I got a listing closed for violating the offensive content rule last night. Some Karen probably reported it.

·4 months agoFirst off, breathe; turn off your caps lock. It'll be all right.
Now, for your issue:
Ebay has decided that those items violate their policies. Men's magazines are regularly flagged and taken down here for inappropriate materials. A key duplicating machine is a little bit of gray area, but I can see why ebay wouldn't want to endorse people selling an item that can easily be used to assist breaking and entering on their site. Their decision is final, even if we disagree.
It doesn't matter that other sellers are listing those items; same reason it's not okay to speed just because everyone else is.
Do not relist them; you're under higher scrutiny now.

·4 months agoWhat was the reason Ebay gave you for the removal? Other sellers either weren't reported and yours was or you need a license to sell those items on Ebay which another dealer/manufacture reported you. I've had listing removed because I had to be an authorized dealer of an item which I didn't know so things happen. Just don't relist these items.
