I have to wait 7 days for a bid payment
When will Ebay realize that 7 days wait for someone to pay a bid payment is too long? Shorten it to 3-4 days. Nobody needs 7 days to "shop". IMO

·3 weeks agoOMG Ebay doesn't set payment schedules. This 7 day thing is a new situation ALLOWED on auctions ONLY that the seller offers Combined shipping. If you don't want this to apply to you, then you need to go to your Site Preferences and remove that you offer Combined shipping. That is what is causing your 7 day issue.
That doesn't mean you can't still offer it, you can. I do, I just have it stated in my listings but NOT in my Site Preferences. It has worked for me for years.
In ALL other cases, a buyer has up to 96 hours from the purchase to pay for regular Fixed Price purchases, unless the seller has IPR [immediate payment required] on the listing. IF after 96 hours of the purchase the buyer doesn't pay, the seller can file a Cancellation for NON payment and the buyer will get an unpaid strike in their account.
IF you choose to removed the Combined Shipping setting from you account, then you should go to your Buyer Requirements in your Site Preferences and make sure you have that set up correctly. There is an option that REQUIRES buyers to submit payment and shipping details at the time the BID. If they become the winners of that Auction, then they have ONE HOUR After the listing closes, in which time they can change the payment method and/or ship to address, but they CAN'T remove the payment option, they MUST pay.

·3 weeks agoYou can do that in your settings, but you have to remove those combined shipping rules. I don't think that you are using combined calculated, but you have a fixed fee + rule for each add'l item. When you do that with auctions, buyers have more time to shop, buy more items, then pay all at once for the multiple items. Doesn't really make sense to do this with how you have shipping charges set up, as buyers aren't getting a break on multiple items.

·3 weeks agoEbay doesn't explain how the auto payment for auction deal works very well.
The seven day one should really say 'can/will be paid at any time up to' seven days - really seven days and an hour -
Most of our seven day'er are paid within 48 hours. A few within minutes, a few exactly at seven days and an hour.
The most important part in our eyes is that they are ALWAYS paid.
The same goes for the auto pay within an hour ones, always paid.
As we don't buy stuff, have no idea what the auto pay set-up looks like. Have read that buyer picks the one hour or seven day time frame, but don't know if there is a default setting or they have to pick from scratch.

·3 weeks agoNot sure where you are seeing that you have to wait 7 days for a buyer to pay. The last time I looked, a seller could cancel after 3 days of nonpayment, citing "buyer did not pay" as his reason for the cancellation.

OP3 weeks ago · EditedBuyer placed won bid on 9/6 auto pay on 9/16. That's 10days; right? I have to wait until 9/16 for the buyer to pay.
If there's a shorter time period that I can set myself, please advise.
