First it was for selling a doll outfit made for Barbie, then for listing Avon Cologne that AI bot said was Liquor, Now the AI bot of Pilot corporation in England said my Pilot Pen, new in package, is a violation of Copyright infringement. The pen is from 90s, from my uncle's estate, and was bundled with two other pens for a total of $13. Now I am supposed to contact the Pilot corporation in England and have a lengthy back and forth about why this is or isn't copyright infringement, and then provide written proof of the Pilot corporation's permission to relist the item, which has 0 views and 0 watchers. I guess we are not allowed to sell Pilot pens, even when the Pilot name is on the package. Ebay help hung up on me twice, then chat person just said to contact the Pilot co and get written permission. This is so ridiculous that I would think I was having a bad dream, and when I wake up, I will say, "that didn't even make sense!"

·1 month agoJust for your information, ebay is using AI to dertermine the authinticity of items. How that works is a mystery. I had an item cancelled for being counterfeit as determined by AI. There was no recourse.

OP1 month agoYes, my uncle collected pens. It is over 30 years old and even has package wear, with all the tiny Pilot legal print on the package. The e-mail said it was a Pilot bot that flagged the listing
