I can't create a shipping label for an international order. Instead eBay is asking me to send an invoice to the customer
I sold an item shipping to someone in Italy. Usually eBay precharges the customer for shipping and I can just create the shipping label. In this instance it is bringing me to an invoice page where I am having to invoice the customer. I have no idea the price of any of the services as eBay is not asking for weights or dimensions. I can't create a lebel.

OP6 days agoIt says I need to invoice them before I ship iut which makes sense. However this is a first for me. Usually with eBay international orders eBay alreaddy charges for freight and when I go to "buy shipping" that option was already there and pricing was calculated. with this option I need to pick a service and invoice before I even know what shipping will cost.

·6 days agoDoes it actually say "before I ship", or did you just add that in as it is how you read the statement? Are those words really there?

OP6 days agoI think you are misunderstanding me. They definately have not paid yet. I countered their offer and they accepted, item sold. However when I click on the order to ship it, instead fo eBay bringing me to the order page to ship, it brings me to a page where I need to send an invoice to the buyer. I then need to choose shipping method and add whatever I want to charge for shipping. But there is no pricing for the shipping yet - so I have to guess. the only way I can get to the next screen is to put a shipping charge. Again it is a guess though because I haven't even added weights and dims yet.

·6 days agoJust because the item is SOLD does NOT mean you are paid. You do NOT ship until AFTER you get payment. Period. You simply do not ship until AFTER the buyer pays you.
The system is telling you that the buyer DID NOT pay yet and needs an invoice to pay you. That also means that this specific listing is NOT IN EIS, which is why they are asking you to put in a shipping amount.
To fix this, you need to contact your buyer, let them know you have a mistake on the listing and need to correct it so that the shipping will show for them correctly. You have to cancel the sale using the reason problem with the address. List the item again, making sure you are using EIS and then tell the buyer the item number so they can purchase it again.
But make sure you have EIS selected. If you don't, you will have the same problem again. I do not think you had EIS on this listing that the buyer purchased from.

·6 days ago · Edited@moxietech some of your items do not have EIS on them....says to contact the seller for shipping amount. don't know if it's because EIS won't handle the item...or that EIS isn't enabled. I checked the 10/1 sale.....
Can't tell what

·6 days agoIf Ebay wants you to invoice the customer, are you SURE the buyer actually paid for the item you are trying to ship?? @moxietech

·6 days agoYou don't need to invoice anyone IF THEY PAID, so it doesn't make sense.
Look at your Payment account. Is their payment there? Or look on your Seller Dashboard to see if the order is paid for or not. But DO NOT ship that item unless you are SURE you were paid. I personally don't think you were. And you may want to recheck that listing to make sure it was actually set up as an EIS listing. You have a couple red flags here.
