I am new to ebay. How can i refund a purchase to someone. no luck on sellers hub.

Someone paid for an item i had already sold and i am having a hard time finding how to refund them their money. Sellers hub said to highlight the purchase and go from there but its no longer on my site.

Sold items remain in your Seller Hub for 90 days. What date was the sale?

June 10 but i sold the item at the end of May.

May I ask why you're cancelling? Is it because the shipping of 30 magazines (which is listed as first class) can't be done for just $8.40?

If your error is that you underestimated the weight and shipping price, you really shouldn't be canceling. The buyer shouldn't have to be disappointed because you erred.

Eat the costs and learn from your mistake so you don't repeat it.

Since it's already paid for, you need to Cancel the order, which automatically initiates a refund. Find the order (Seller Hub/Orders/Awaiting shipment) and use the drop-down menu to the left to 'Cancel order', citing 'Out of stock/Item no longer available'. Confirm and submit. Good luck!

The order is not there. There is only one order there and that's not the one.

If you're able to view the sales order (and you say it's not in seller hub, so I think it's probably in one of the sub menus hiding somewhere), there's a "send refund" link in the dropdown. You're able to cancel by sending a refund and marking it as "out of stock" when you send the refund.
