I am looking for information on this Asian Porcelain Tea Pot.

The lady in China who is a big help with Asian items user ID is @waxu_93 and she is often on the Collectibles and Art board. Hopefully she will have an idea about your piece.

·1 year agoMy hunt with Google lens turned up several examples of bisque - unfortunately, I see my link didn't work. I use it as a starting point and thought you might be able to match it, given you have the piece in your hand.

OP1 year agoThank You! I just checked my listing and I think I might have it listed in the wrong category... I currently have it under Vases>Antiques> Asian>Chinese... Do you think I should change it to: Tea Pots & Tea Sets>in Collectibles > Cultures & Ethnicities > Asian > 1900-Now > Chinese ? I hate to end the listing as I have had 28 views in last week. What do you think?

The finish on your teapot is bisque not biscuit
Bisqueware would be the genre. To me it looks Japanese (perhaps Mt. Fuji as the lid finial?
I cannot see the maker's mark in your pictures.

I'm glad you figured out that @pamann1.1 meant "bisque" and not "biscuit" which he even misspelled in the listing title. I was trying to figure out what "biscuit" meant and couldn't put two and two together. Thinking a little slowly today, I guess.

OP1 year agoThe makers mark is very small. It is only on the lid, nothing on the bottom. I tried photographing it with a magnifying glass, but just could not get a really clear picture. It looks fairly old to me, but I had one person suggest it was not that old and a cheap tourist piece for people to bring back as a souvenir....
