I’ve recently posted a pocketbook with shipping paid by buyer I supplied eBay with dimensions and
Weight, and EBay supplies a price range for postage. My customer on the east coast says they were overcharged by double on their end. Is the rate range not shown to them? i.e customer sees $11 shipping on posting but when goes to by its $25. What’s happened recently? Help I’ve lost customers over this.

·3 years agoWithout actual size and weight of this package and what carrier/service (e.g. USPS Priority you selected) as well as the zip codes of the seller(you) and your buyer it is difficult to respond to your post.
In your original listing it is shows the cost of shipping from your location to my location (in the Atlanta, GA area) would be $13.30 for USPS Priority and $11.65 for USPS Ground Advantage.
Weight, Size, Distance and Deliver Service determines the shipping cost unless you offer "free shipping" or a fixed rate. eBay has little clue as to what these factors
Sellers pick the carrier and service. eBay does not select it for you.
PS I no longer sell on eBay but managed to shipped 1665 items (lots of hand bags) all over the US, Only made a pricing error in my shipping price (i.e cost) - I ate the bullet (didn't loose $) - just didn't make what I planned for- lesson learned = didn't loose a customer. ·3 years agoNo, the "rate range" is not shown to buyers. When a listing has calculated shipping, it shows the exact postage cost from your ZIP Code to the buyer's. If the postage price in the listing is different from the price at checkout, the most likely reason is that the buyer is using two different addresses.

·3 years agoYour purse listing shows 2 types of shipping. Apparently your buyer chose the higher shipping cost.
If your shipping is calculated then your buyer is charged for what ever postal zone they live in. PO charges differently zone to zone.
