Summary: control1184-5 is seeking advice on how to ship phone covers or screen protectors under $5 across the USA using USPS, noting that competitors sell with free shipping despite costs. shire123 suggests bundling items, as USPS fees make it hard to compete. cityslickercreations2004 shares similar struggles and informs about upcoming USPS price hikes. fm2000 mentions that shipping costs make it challenging for small sellers without special contracts. broto_64 proposes using ESE for 'soft' screen protectors, while christworks advises lowering the cost of goods.
Can you someone help me how to ship phone cover or phone screen protectors under $5 or $4 cross USA from 95368 via USPS?
I have seen a lot of seller are selling phone cover for under $9.00 with free shipping. But the phone cover cost around $1.50 from China + eBay fees and shipping cost, you can not make money.
I do not know how other seller are shipping and make money.

路3 weeks agoYour cost of goods is way too high. You need to bring your cost of goods down.
When you can't make money on the backend, you have to make it on the front.

路3 weeks agoWith "soft" screen protectors you can probably use ESE, that would cost under $1. You might be able to ship glass protectors ESE as well but I'm not sure how that would work.

路3 weeks agoA screen protector might qualify for ESE or possibly non-machineable letter if rigid, the size and thickness might be ok. A whole phone case, he is totally out of luck.

路3 weeks agoIt is now impossible to ship a package (anything that isn't a letter) for less than $5. In fact, shipping just a 1oz package to the "wrong" zip code will soon be pushing $10 in total (shipping + eBay's FVF on the shipping). Out of control USPS increases on lightweight packages are literally destroying the market for items like yours, making them unsellable by small sellers that don't have a Amazon like negotiated service contract with the USPS (or their own logistics network). If you are furious about it... believe me, you are not the only one.

All you can do is price your item based on your costs. Does that work? Sometimes it sells and other times it doesn't.
Not all sellers have the same costs in inventory, shipping supplies, etc. so it is hard to guess why their pricing is so different.
I hate to do this to you but USPS is planning their "temporary" Holiday price hike. It begins Oct. 4 through Jan. 17, 2027 which is usually followed by a permament price hike around Jan. 17.

路3 weeks agoNo way to use the USPS for less than $5. ore even $6. Some sellers lose money and don't worry about it. It's useless to compete with them.
Your only option is to group a few cases together and hope there is any interest.
