How to sell a large Nascar die cast car collection
I have never sold on Ebay and would like to sell a large Nascar die cast car colletion. I have 45 cars and they are all in their original boxes and brand new with the tissue around them. Is it best to sell them individually or as the collection?

·2 years agoI would try to sell it individually first.. Why not?
45 cars takes about less than an hour to take pictures.
I would take all 45 in their boxes first. (later to be used as a lot.
As they are all the same cars you can use Sell Similar and you can list all 45 cars in 30mins to 1hr(depending on your speed)
So basically about 2hrs of work you can make maybe 1300.
Later if no one buy it, you can lot it all 45 to sell. But I am sure some would sell.
Its not like this a lot of work to manage it after you list it. or a lot of work to list it.

·2 years agoIt would be far less work to sell them as a collection. Have you checked eBay to see if any are for sale? You can also check sold items and get some idea of what they might sell for.

·2 years agoHi @vmfami21 and welcome!
As to the question of selling your collection individually or as a group will depend on what the value of the grouping vs. the singles comes to. (There is also the option to sell the more valuable cars individually and then the rest as a lot.)
Also, as a new seller, i would urge you not to list expensive goods right off the bat. Getting some sales under your belt first, making some purchases too, as a way to build up some feedback and experience, may serve you well and help mitigate your becoming a target of the unscrupulous.
Best of luck to you!!

·2 years agoSelling is easy.
Shipping is hard.
Those boxes are as valuable as the contents.

·2 years agoNotice how everyone is saying the same thing about selling a large amount of car. I buy collection because I sell at an antique store which everyone said that would never work. Well I have been doing it for 3 years and have done well. How did I do it? I purchase one collection for 2000.00. That included 860 1/24 scale cars and 700 1/64 scale cars. See what I did? Divide the 200.00 by the 860 cars and be prepared to be shocked. That’s right I absolutely worthless cars for dirt cheap and sell they cheap. I do this because I need fast money to cover my other high end antiques two booths where I make good money. I pay 3.25.00 per square foot, I have 250 square of selling space. If you have a lot of time you can do what I do . I am a retired guy with all the time I need. Good luck.
