200 listings lost with no idea what they were. So no idea what's just sitting there on shelves looking like it's in inventory, but no. It is simply incomprehensible to me why this would not be a readily available option. In addition to 200 listings, time lost, if I wanted to do them over again X 2. It just makes no sense and I find it difficult to dream up a reasonable reason why.
Perhaps I do not know the magic search parameters but i could only get to an empty ended listing page or what had been ended and relisted, not the elusive deleted listings. But I do not know what in particular was deleted. since i did that, all of them in one perilous click.

You are showing you have 3392 items listed for sale.
You are showing you have 332 items sold (last 90 days).
What are the 200 items you have missing?
If you do not know the 200 missing items and can not find them, you may need to shut down while you do an inventory of your items and get them back in sync with eBay.

Since they didn't lose the physical items, just the eBay listings, they shouldn't have anything listed for sale that they cannot fulfill, just items that they could fulfill but aren't available for sale. I wouldn't think they would need to shut down while they figure that out.
@kingsriverboy I would strongly suggest both that you download a list of your active listings both now and on a regular basis (), and to keep your own record in a spreadsheet or database. We have almost 6,000 listings, and we've kept a spreadsheet since 2019 that now has tens of thousands of records, and it's been invaluable at times.
Schedule reports: https://www.ebay.com/sh/reports/schedule (Edit: I just checked and I don't actually see a way to schedule a report of active listings, just orders or advertising. Sorry, I think that used to be an option.)
Wow, that's bad. I've always felt that deleted unsold listings should have a way to be retrieved if need be. I'm curious as to how this happened. Were you ending active listings and relisting?
Yes, and I had a momentary lapse, jumped ahead of myself deleting before sell sim in that process. I just had a customer message me about an item they had been watching/saved for a while. They asked if it was still available. I think it was one of the items deleted and I was able to restore that listing with the link in the message. So they are somewhere even a week later. Why they are hidden from me thus losing me and ebay money/sales opportunity still baffles.
I have not lost items/inventory, I have lost ebay listings of them.
Exactly. Your challenge is that you will have to spend the time recreating the listings, not a risk of having to cancel orders. That’s a much better position to be in, even if it’s still not great.
May I ask where and how did you find that? And thanks, I don't see how shutting down helps anything? I've lot two hundred listings, not the actual items. Cutting off the remaining 3k plus seems self defeating, they are in inventory and ready to ship. Going through 4k items in inventory checking one at a time if listed or not, that is something which may have to happen over months, years.

Today you are showing different numbers but this will change as you add items and sell items.
If you know for sure you have everything available to send if it sells, they I agree you do not need to shut it all down while you figure out how to restore your 200 items.
Only thing I have is you would have to do a complete inventory to figure out what is no longer listed. You have a lot of categories listed. Is it possible a complete category was deleted or is it just random 200 items deleted?
When you delete a listing it is deleted from your view but it may still be within eBay's advance search for 90 days. Search completed listing for the exact listing and see if you find anything.
I cannot find the trash. Help greatly appreciated.
@kingsriverboy:
The eBay garbage truck came and picked up the "trash" at the split second you deleted it.
You can't chase down the truck to retrieve it, and you can't go to the eBay dump to rummage thru it because your deleted listings no longer exist. They're gone for good. Sorry.
If they were simply Ended, they should still exist.
The takeaway from this is to occasionally download a report of your active listings.
I suspect the deleted listings remain in a dormant, ended status on eBay for 90 days.
I suspect you could paste the listing numbers onto a URL for Relist or Sell Similar. Remember to edit the Available Quantity. The default quantity is inflated with the number you originally started with.
Back in the day, you could use the Advanced Search screen link in Message 7, search by seller and find the deleted listings for relisting individually. There have been discussions about the Completed filter on the left not working lately.
