How to opt out of the constant influx of ebay live ads?
These are so obnoxious. How do I remove them or opt out from having them in my ebay app? And they show up like ugly banners in the middle of searches too, searches for items that have nothing to do with these. It’s soooo tiresome. Is there a way to opt out or not see them? I don’t collect coins! I don’t play video games! I don’t gamble! None of this! Yet stuff like this is constantly in my app and searches. Ugh. It makes the app and the site cumbersome and filled with stuff we’re not looking for. I just want to opt out if someone knows how and if that’s an option. Thank you.

·4 months agoThe easiest and most obvious thing to do is to NOT go to the eBay home page and instead go directly to the Seller Hub.
I only go to the eBay Home Page once or twice a year and usually only by mistake.

·4 months agoIf you scroll down on the home page, you might see a thumbs-up/down icon asking for you take part in a survey about your opinions on the home feed's relevance to you. At least I did. I took and commented on how I didn't like the live auction gunk. Will eBay care? Probably not, but I had my say nonetheless.

·4 months agoThis isn't a tech problem, you are seeing exactly what ebay wants you to see.

·4 months agoI bet they wouldn't be annoying if you were paying for them to be seen.
Unfortunately, you just have to ignore them as I haven't found any way to block them and it doesn't look like anyone on here has either. Welcome to doing business in 2026.

·4 months agoThe answer is, you stop using the app, and bookmark the Seller Hub as your homepage on desktop.
That is what I do, I've never seen these ads before.

·4 months agoThis is on the buyer side, though - as a seller I don't care. As a buyer, the amount of clutter is annoying. Most buyers don't have seller hubs and a large proportion shop on their phones.

·4 months agoSomeone on here posted the same thoughts with a lot of wordy words, but the same thing - can we opt out? Posh has the same thing - live feeds, but they manage to keep the ads from completely overcoming the search experience, obscuring our own ads, etc. eBay really struggles with the tech side of things.
