How to list different CDs by the same artist

I tried using the Variations option for Name of CD, Price, etc, but it does not seem to work for me, and I can't list anything. What am I doing wrong? I am trying to list under the Music - CD category.

The problem is that different CDs by the same artist are separate products, not variations of the same product. eBay’s variation feature is intended for essentially the same item offered in different sizes, colors, editions, or similar options. “Price” also should not be entered as a variation name; prices are assigned to the individual variations later in the process.
For example, standard and deluxe editions of the same album might qualify as variations. Different album titles by the same artist generally do not. Even though you may see other sellers using “Choose Your CD” listings, that does not necessarily mean those listings comply with eBay’s rules.
Your safest options are to create a separate listing for each CD or sell several CDs together as one lot, with the buyer receiving every CD shown. You've already done that with other CDs, and honestly that is the best approach given most CDs have little value. You can also group CDs by genre. If creating separate listings, you can save time by saving the first one as a draft and then make copies of that listing. Then, you only have to change up a few things and move on to the next one.

·1 month agoSounds like you are asking about Variation Listings. Not all items are allowed to be listed this way.
Find you a You Tube Video on How to Make eBay Variations Listings. You may have to review several before you find one that is understandable to you.

·1 month agoAre you starting from a brand new listing or using sell similar/ relist? if the latter, they must also have had variations.
So start a new listing > variations ( about mid page) > edit > see "attributes" > + Add & choose add your own ( such as the "name of the CD" or "your choice of CD" > you can then delete all the other attributes if any > go to bottom of this box and see " + create your own" -- here you want to type the names of the various CD that you want to sell -- input as many as needed hit "ADD" after each one > enter "continue" > and then a box will pop up where you have to enter price, UPC code , etc....
Also if you want tor the individual pics of ea CD to pop up as buyer selects, then you must select "Add Variation photos" in addition to you main photos. Under variation photos choose whatever variation you chose ( like name of CD) instead of "default photos". Your default photos will be you main photos buyer will see when looking at listing. After they use the pop up menu and make a selection from all the various CDs, the will see the individual pic. of the CDs they selected.
You might want to mention in the title : sold individually, use menu to select, etc... so as to let the buyer know you are not including all the CDs at one price, but selling them separately.
If you've never listed a variation listing, it not very intuitive! Please feel free to DM me for further help. ·1 month agoVariation listings are really intended for listing multiple CDs by the same or even different artist unless the CDs are just a variation on the same CD. Variation listings are suppose to be related in some way.
For example, one of my listings may help. They are all the same type of bead, but come in different colors.
