How to handle buyer that keeps message me 2-3 times a day?
I’m new since last month I’ve sold some things. I sold a hard drive April 1st. As soon as it was shipped out I started getting tons of questions that should’ve been asked before purchase.
Like is it compatible with my system? What’s the life expectancy? How do I set it up? Etc
I tried answering as best as I could I don’t know much about what he’s doing with it and he was very vague but it’s cool thought that was done with.
Since he’s been asking about tracking. He keeps complaining it’s not moving at least twice per day and yes it’s slower than my other packages going out but I keep informing him its moving and it may take longer than the estimated date due to the backlog at USPS.
I don’t know what to do at this point do I stop messaging him or just keep him up to date never had someone do this in my month of experience. It has an expected date of the 8th and eBay says till the 10th so I don’t understand the urgency.

·5 months agoJust be direct with the buyer. The package is still in transit. You are already committed to this transaction so you will need to see it out. I get buyers like this sometimes where they ask a bunch of questions after the transaction is made and I answer every one to the best of my ability. I understand it can get irritating to deal with a buyer who asks a bunch of questions and doesn't really understand how the postal system works. It happens but just have to hang in there with this buyer and see it out.

·5 months agoStop right now. Block the member.
You really really really do not want him to buy from you.
It will not get better.
Some sales are not worth having.
Oh, dear, he bought and paid already. And you shipped.
Sigh
Every time he asks about tracking send him the tracking number.
Nothing else.
And after the third time, stop replying.
When he demands a partial refund, and he will, you could reply.
"I regret you are not happy with your purchase. Please return it for refund."
Rinse, repeat.
BTW.
If he does return it, and it is in saleable shape, use all those questions to rewrite your Description so that this doesn't happen again.
It's a learning experience.
Everyone hates those.

OP5 months agoYea after I shipped it out had a weird feeling in my stomach. I plan on seeing it returned hopefully in good condition. Yea not giving any partial refunds no if ands or buts. I have 30 day free returns so I dont know hopefully he doesn't mess with it too much said he was building a network system and it's his first time with everything. If he does mess with it may only give back a partial refund and eat the negative feedback and whatever else comes with it.
I sold 3 already I assumed people buying these drives would already be aware of the specs and what not given they're drives meant for data centers or heavy users. Haven't had a problem witht the other 3 I sold yet knock on wood.
