How to go about this situation?
I recently sold a PC game and it had been on ebay for almost 2 years and randomly sold the other day. I was able to find the game cd and case but I am missing a paper insert/manual that was pictured with the game. I tried contacting the buyer to see if theyd like a partial refund or a complete cancel on the order however they have not replied. I am supposed to ship it by tomorrow. Should I send the game without the piece of paper? Thoughts?

·3 years agoWe would send it with a note of apology. We would also refund the customer. Goodwill vs a few dollars, we would always go the goodwill route.

·3 years agoI'm with you. Since it was my mistake, I would refund the buyer AND send the item with a note apologizing and explaining what happened.

·3 years agoI'd send it with a note that you'd tried to contact them about the missing paperwork but when you didn't hear from them, you decided to send it anyway.
Let them know they can return or accept a partial once they receive it.
I wouldn't cancel because that'll ding your account (OOS) and it just may not matter to the buyer if the insert is missing.

·3 years agoYou could just cancel the sale with no automatic relist and refund the buyer.
Some people are more responsive than others. I would try to find the CD art and complete the sale. If they don't respond by your shipping deadline I'd just cancel the sale and refund them.
