How to change or remove account used for payouts?
I can find no place to change this account. I want to remove it. eBay is trying to do withdrawals from the account and since there are no funds in it the bank charges a $34.95 fee each time eBay tries to do a withdrawal. I would like to remove the account. Is there any way to contact eBay anymore? Like a chat line?

·2 years agoFrom my experience an account cannot be removed without adding another first.
Wife stopped selling and wanted to detach the checking account from eBay. Checking account could not be detached. Ended up closing the selling account to prevent any charges that could possibly arise.

·1 year agoEbay's policy should be legally contested. You should have the RIGHT to remove your details inc a bank account anytime you want!!

·2 years agoYou can't remove the account, you can only replace it.

OP2 years agoYep. I just figured that out. Nothing I can do about it. The bank says it can close my checking account and do a charge-off on the fees. I need to wait until I collect my quarterly dividend at the end of December, so first thing January I will close my account. In the meantime I can't even use it. Next thing you know eBay will start building gas chambers.

·2 years agoWhat a grand place it would be if sellers could just remove their checking account to avoid financial liabilities.
eBay has it set up correctly.

·2 years agoGo into your seller hub, click the Payments tab scroll towards the bottom of the page to look for “Payment Method†click “manageâ€.
If you want to change your Payout method click manage you would need to add a new account first.

You need to go to your personal seller profile and do some editing. At the top left hand side of your landing page, go to "Account" Then go to payments, scroll down and you'll see your present account. Add your new account you wished to be paid with and make it your default. You can still keep the old account on file or you can delete it.
I hope this helpful. Someone else may come along and put a screen shot of how to do it which would be even more helpful. One day I hope to know how to do a screenshot on a laptop. Chances are my 10 year old will show me. lol

I'm no 10-year-old, but I'll tell you what wt101 taught me. Press your windows button (lower left, looks like a window with 4 panes) and Prt Sc (Print screen... upper right) at the same time. They'll save under 'Screenshots'.
Here's a tip that I discovered on my own... close all of your other windows that are open, or we'll see everything you have opened (your bank, email, etc.) across the top of your screen just like you do. That may be TMI to put out there...

·2 years agoThe easiest thing may be to close it at the bank. It is also in your account settings under payments, payment options. You can try deleting it.
