How To Cancel Unpaid Invoices That Are More Than 30 Days Old?
Hi folks- One of my best customers had two open invoices for combined shipping Buy It Now items. But he hit some hard times and after about 3-4 weeks told me he would be unable to pay for the items and said I should just re-list them. Although I am a bit disappointed, I am OK with this as he has bought many thousands of dollars' worth of items in the past several years.
The problem is that we waited until after 30 days for me to try to cancel the invoices, and I did not know this was a thing, as now eBay is not allowing the invoices to be cancelled.
I was able to re-list each item individually, but eBay will not let me cancel the invoices. So now they just sit in my "Orders Awaiting Payment" and there is nothing I can do about it.
What do I do? Do I have to report the buyer for non-payment, would that get the invoices cancelled? I don't really want to do that, but is that my only option? In part this is my fault as had I known about the 30 days rule I would have abided by it prior to that deadline, but I did not, and I don't want this one generally great customer to have strikes against them for non-payment I allowed to linger for too long.
How do I proceed now to get these invoices that will never be paid to be deleted from my "Orders Awaiting Payment" list?

I was going to recommend what @jonathanbrightlight said, but they beat me to it. Since no payment happened you don't have any fees to worry about.
I feel the need to say that your compassion for your buyer should be acknowledged. Repeat customers are very valuable, I too take as good of care of mine as I can. I'm sorry they ran into some financial issues but your response to their needs was extremely good and I'm sure appreciated by them. ðŸ˜

·1 year agoOnly thing you can do is Archive the order (from the dropdown menu). They can’t be paid, or cancelled, or anything else.
