    how to boost sales

Despite listing on a daily basis I am not getting traffic or sales on eBay. I'm using the free membership store. Does upgrading store membership help increase sales?

eBay seems really dead these last two plus weeks. It has become a roller coaster ride in sale this year. I actually went back to work recently.

eBay does no real overall advertising.

    Hi @classicbharatgems

    Let's review:

    -You are located in India

-You only have 40 items for sale as of this writing.  You need more to sell

-You have sold 5 items in the last 90 days

-You have 2 Negative Feedbacks and 1 Neutral ... they seem to indicate that the items you are selling are not as advertised

-If you are drop shipping that is a mistake because you have no control over what will be shipped, when it will be shipped or if it will be shipped at all if it is out of stock but your supplier never told you

-If the gems have no certificates state that on your listing, if the gem industry typically requires or encourages certificates for authenticity that is an important point

-Diversify what you sell so if the gems business falters you have different items to sell

-It is best to sell what you have in your own possession and that you personally ship.

No, a store does not guarantee more sales.  If you are paying for it, you are wasting your money with only 58 listings.  You have several poor feedback comments left for your shop, most of them concerning the authenticity of the stones you are selling & no certificates. That's grounds for a Not as described return.  Poor seller behavior is going to get you shut down.  One too many Bad Buyer experiences, will end your selling career here on eBay.  84% feedback is not good at all.  I see your prices are reasonable, but most people who know anything about jewelry know that selling an alleged Pink Sapphire with a certification most likely is not a real sapphire.  I do not know where you are sourcing your products from , but I can guess.   You need to be honest with your customers and you have comments claiming you are not.  It's all up to you.  FYI You cannot post that you only take Paypal.  Maybe it's different in India, but eBay provides many other payment features for customers to pay with.

I wish you well and Happy Selling

Thanks a lot for your response. If I mention in the description that the gems are without certificate, will it help the buyer and increase my sales or will it decrease my sales? @ckimodog

No, not really because there are a lot of comments from your customers that they are not real gems & the certificate is probably fake. There are a lot of people out there that know real gemstones. I have a background in gemology and sorry to say they just look like glass. A real sapphire goes anywhere from $60-$200 depending on the size and grade.  Not $7.99.   My suggestion is to sell things that are authentic.  By the way changing your seller ID name isn't going to help you.  Your feedback still displays your selling behavior.  Do better.

    Good luck to you.

Being truthful about what you sell is key. Selling precious and semiprecious gems for that low of a price makes one wonder about the authenticity of them.

It is all about what you are selling and how that is the problem.

Apparently you are selling fake gems. Looking at the listings, i also see multiple identical photos used by multiple gem sellers. That means the gem in the photo is not the gem one will receive.

It is misleading to state the gems are certified when they are not. It is illegal to make false claims in order to sell something. eBay will shut you down if you persist in committing fraud.

If i were you, i would concentrate on finding a legitimate product to sell. Take your own photos and ship it yourself. The path you are on now will not take you where you want to go.

How many account IDs are you currently selling on?

There is no such thing as a free membership store. And upgrading to a paid membership will not guarantee sales either.
Your feedback rating along with negative and neutral comments aren't doing you any favors.
