How to Block International Buyers with Domestic Addresses?
I already have international buyers blocked from bidding on my auctions, because I only sell to the lower 48, but where’s the option to block international buyers who have domestic addresses?
I don’t mind the international fee or even shipping to a domestic address for a freight forwarding service, but I clearly have a preference set to not sell to international buyers. What options are there for eBay to uphold my preferences?

·3 years agoFWIW, freight forwarders are the second safest addresses after mailboxes.
Once the shipment is accepted by the forwarder your responsibility for delivery ends.
And most of the Money Back Guarantee does not apply to forwarded shipments.

This is the part I'm referring to
Exclusions and special coverage when the buyer doesn't receive an item

Items collected by a third party on behalf of the buyer

Not covered

The buyer arranged their own shipping method, such as a courier pickup

Not covered

The buyer provided an invalid or incorrect address at checkout

Not covered
And if the buyer wants to return for refund, a great fear of American sellers, the Return Shipping Label the seller supplies is addressed from the US address of the forwarder, not the buyer's overseas address.
Now -- if the GSP is not involved, but the buyer uses a freight forwarder, does the seller provide Return Shipping from the forwarding address or from the buyer's address?
Oooh this is a good clarification question @femmefan1946! A seller is only required to provide return shipping from the buyer's input address at time of checkout - that goes for any return where a seller provides shipping ('free' returns, etc).

So basically, you're down to the international fee on the payment which you say is not a problem.

·4 years agoThere is no such options.
eBay allows sellers to block SHIPPING locations, eBay does not allow blocking by country of birth, citizenship or residence.

·1 year agoEbay should pay the fee they charge for foreign registered buyer. You should be forced to sell to people you don't want to sell to. Amazing.

·4 years agoTo lessen the chance of this happening in the future, set your buyer requirements
https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/buyerrequirements
Block buyers whose primary shipping address is in a location I don't ship to.
It will not stop all that use a FF, but it will stop the one's who have their ''primary shipping address'' in the country they reside in

OP4 years agoMy preferences are set to block international buyers, but somehow eBay allows international buyers to bid, pay, leverage a international fee onto the seller, and complete the transaction without any other option to Block International Buyers as per my set preference.
Would I have to go through each bidder and put them on my block list as I see their registered location being outside of my selling preferences?
