How to Add Message to Checkout (asking customer to verify correct address)

Question

I went to Site Preferences, Manage Communication with Buyers. It said that EBAY sends message to "thank customer for their order" but I want to customize that and instruct customer to "verify correct address" before checking out. EBAY didn't seem to have any option to customize EBAY message.

Is there a way to do that?

Why do people make it so hard on themselves to sell on eBay? You are creating so much extra work that will not gain you a dime.

I've sold and shipped over 30,000 orders since 2011 and NOT 1 has had an issue with their 'address'. This 'note' would be as annoying as the 5 Daily Spam Phone calls we all get.

It would be MUCH MORE IMPORTANT to have buyers CONFIRM their vehicle when purchasing from Ebay Motors Parts/Accessories. Many sites require 'vin #'s so that the vehicle can be confirmed BEFORE ordering.

((since sellers selling in the Parts & Accessories category HAVE to give FREE RETURNS (seller pays return shipping))

Hello Customer, Before you check out, please make sure your ebay "ship to" address is correct and up to date. Also, no running with the scissors look both ways before crossing the street.

I buy and pay in a single step. Never checkout separately.

Most buyers who buy only a single item from a seller, pay immediately before they get any messages from Ebay or the seller. At least, most of my buyers do. I only get a message about the sale without payment on my auctions. Almost all my BIN listings never wind up in Awaiting Payment.

If I sent the message you wanted sent, it would never be read in time to act.

Can't do it that I know of...........and you'd never want to depend on customers to reply.........some would never see the email/would/could take days...... as said, if you use the address ebay provides you will be protected.

Why? Its none of your concern. As long as you ship to the address in eBays system you are covered.
