·10 months ago@jck5273 : In a glance at your existing listings, I cannot see anything that could remotely reach the need for a Flat Rate Medium box. In fact none of the current listings look like they'd be more than a half-pound in packaged weight, for which Calculated Shipping and Ground Advantage for postage would work just fine. (Both GA and Priority offer a maximum insured coverage of $100 at no extra charge.)
If you're looking to list something very different with a shipping weight exceeding, say, five pounds, that's different. If you can give us a bit more detail on why you're looking at a Flat Rate Medium box, we could be more specific.

·10 months agoWhen creating a listing, under the shipping selection first click that you want calculated shipping. Then it will ask to select the shipping service, to which you would just need to locate and choose the one for Medium Flat Rate.
I would say for its price of $18-19, unless you have some small but very heavy there are much better and cheaper options for your buyers. If you do plan to use it, maybe add a second shipping option that is cheaper as well. Otherwise the high shipping may deter some buyers who don't mind saving money to wait a few extra days!

·10 months agoWhen you list the dimensions of the item, they need to be smaller than the box you want to select.
The MFR box is 11 x 8.5 x 5.5
So, your dimensions should be just a bit smaller than that to insure that the box will appear as an option.
If you are selling multiple quantities, sometimes the eBay system sees Flat rate box and does not allow for that and will just charge the shipping fee for one item, expecting you will be able to add multiple item purchase to one flat rate box. Just a heads up to be aware of.

·10 months agoyea, flat rate boxes and the buyer buys multiples sometimes can cause a seller to lose considerable money on shipping.
Back when I used a lot of flat rate boxes I would not use actual weight in the listing, If 2 widgets would fit in a MFL box I would put the weight of each at 30LB, if only one would fit I would make the weight 40LB. Doing that made the shipping calculator charge for additional boxes

Are you sure you want to use MFR? Unless you have something really heavy that fits it is not a good value.
