How To Add Choking Hazard to Balloon Listing?
Listings in the Balloons category must include the following choking hazard warning:
CHOKING HAZARD – Children under 8 yrs. can choke or suffocate on uninflated or broken balloons. Adult supervision required. Keep uninflated balloons from children. Discard broken balloons at once.
Please add this disclaimer to your item description to complete the listing process.{e281499-1081607x}''
I copied the hazard word from word and added what they asked to the description of my listing, but it still won't let me list the item. It keeps giving me the same message at the top after I hit list. What am I doing wrong?

·8 months agoAnyone have any updates? I’m seeing this problem and they escalated to customer support. I can’t do anything with my listings!!!

·8 months agoI already have it in mine, word for word, for YEARS, suddenly nothing can be updated (such as shipping) without "adding" the words. I have put them in disclosures, description, and additional messages and STILL tells me it is not there!!

·8 months agoI’m getting the same error! Just noticed this a few weeks ago. Support is no help they say to use new browser, wait 24 hours. I’m not sure why it’s not noticing the choking hazard which has been in all my listings. I can’t update any balloon listing!!

·10 months agoI have been adding health & safety warnings under the California Prop 65 Warning, but I do not sell balloons.
CHOKING HAZARD – Children under 8 yrs. can choke or suffocate on uninflated or broken balloons. Adult supervision required. Keep uninflated balloons from children. Discard broken balloons at once.

·10 months agoCan you post a screenshot @*_southern-charm_* @balsdca ?
Typically when that message appears you can click a button on the lower right to continue with publishing your listing. If you don't see a button, it could be that your browser is zoomed in too large so hitting Ctrl and - will zoom out your view and make the button appear.

·10 months agoI have had balloon listings for awhile now and this message always did come up when creating a new listing. I am trying to revise a current listing and it has this message (copied and pasted) in to the description already. I'm just trying to revise the number of balloons on this listing.
I tried putting it in the Calif Prop box that KrazzyKats suggested but I still get this error.

·10 months agoThanks, that helps. That's not the pop up I thought it would be, it's a different kind of restriction.
My suggestion is to click the ? icon on the lower right corner of most eBay pages and click the report a tech issue link. You can even include a link to this Community post in your comments so eBay can see your screenshot.
That message shouldn't be appearing after the warning is added to your description, assuming you are copy/pasting verbatim.

·10 months agoThe only other thing after reading some compliant cautionary statements would be to add it as a picture to your listing and adding it to the description. Might see if there's any difference.
That's the only three places I can see it could be. Picture, description, and Prop 65.
Since I don't sell balloons, is there possibly any odd item specifics for Balloons only?

·10 months agoI don't have an answer but I'm having the same problem. Trying to revise a current balloon listing for number of items. It has the statement in there already and it keeps saying I need that statement. Frustrating. Hopefully someone will have an answer.
