How the heck?
Summary: inhawaii is puzzled by a UK seller offering Starry Zero Sugar Lemon Lime soda for $4.49 with free US shipping, far cheaper than local prices. ten_o_nine warns it could be a scam involving personal information theft. eburtonlab suggests it might be drop shipping or fraud, with sales potentially linked to discounted prices from large retailers. sin-n-dex jokes about unusual eBay purchases and agrees about drop shipping. Another example of a suspicious deal is shared by buyselljack2016, who encountered an unlikely sale of 9 jeans for under $30 and decided not to buy.
Starry Zero Sugar Lemon Lime soda Pop 12 fl oz 12 Pack cans...
$4.49 with free shipping to US via UPS 3-day ... get this ... from the UK.
These are $15 in my local store.
A 12 pack of soda weight: 10-11 lbs.
Seller has 15000+ feedback.
Anyone care to explain how they think the seller can do this? LOL

·1 month agoSounds somewhat like something I was looking at yesterday.
Was wandering around on the cell phone.
Not eBay.
9 pairs of 501 jeans for a total of dollars 29 and change.
I passed on the purchase.

·1 month agoWho buys soda on eBay? Unless of course it's pineapple flavoured and only available in Hawaii.
If it's not a hijacked account, I say drop ship.

·1 month agoRetail drop-shipping? Probably not actually shipping via UPS -- at least not profitably.
Possibly triangulation fraud unless the seller has found a good sale price that can be shipped cheaply via a Prime deal or Walmart Plus. At least one California retailer was quoting a sale price of $4.99, though I am not sure if they ship countrywide.

Hijacked Account most Likely.
