How many days does a seller have to respond to an INAD?
It's been a while since I've had an INAD and I always issue an immediate return label anyway so I don't even look at the date to respond by. But on the 10th I filed an INAD for an item I purchased, and the seller hasn't responded yet. No clue why, could be he just hasn't seen the prompt yet, or as a fairly new seller maybe he thinks he doesn't have to do anything because it was a 'No Returns' item.
But this strikes me as 'off' -on the Return Details page, it says I can ask eBay to step in on the 15th -that's 5 days, and even though I don't remember the exact number of days I'd normally get as a seller, I'm pretty sure it was more like 3 days at most, maybe just 48 hours. Now since the 15th is a Monday, it's tempting to think there's a "business day" grace period, but I can't think of any reason why.
If you know the answer (please don't guess or state from memory if you're not 100% certain), it would be extra helpful if you post some kind of proof.

OP1 year agoThank you so much. It says sellers have 2 days after receiving the item back to issue the refund -that is probably what I was mixing up with this. I still can't imagine why it would take 3 days let alone extra days for the weekend just to decide how to respond to a case, but whatever. I appreciate you finding the info.

Weekends do not count in those 3 days.
So if you opened case on a Wednesday, seller has until Monday to respond.
Not everyone is online all the time. Be patient and your seller will respond.

OP1 year agoDo you have any proof? Also this isn't about "patience" I am curious about all policy matters including this one, nothing more.
