How do you ship and insure items over $5000 and keep postage low for customer? | Selling

We are fairly new at selling on Ebay and have some expensive collectible autographed items. Does Ebay offer registered mail for big ticket items.? USPS only offers insurance on items up to $5000 and the cost is extremely high. We noticed a lot of people use a flat $25 postage for big ticket items but this doesn't translate to what we will spend on additional insurance. If we take the item to the post office and mail registered, how do we generate the proper label on Ebay? Is there a way to mark that that it was shipped and enter the tracking number somehow? Do we eat the additional cost? Your suggestions are appreciated.
