How do i remove my automated feedback
A buyer canceled a sale. How do i remove MY automated good feedback from her list of reviews? Canceling is no problem and I haven't even packed the item yet, but I do not want my shop name associated with her.

·4 months agoThe only thing you can do is leave a follow up to your original feedback, regardless of whether it's automated or not. I do not recommend doing this in this case, however. Even a follow up should be reserved for situations when a buyer has engaged in fraud or some sort of abuse (feedback, returns, etc.), and other sellers may benefit from having that knowledge. There's no practical reason for a seller to remove feedback when a buyer requests a cancelation before an item ships.

·4 months agoSo would you rather they accepted it and seeing that you don't accept returns filed a false NAD, costing you return shipping?
Instead of the negative attitude toward your buyer, you should be grateful that they changed their mind before you shipped.
Had you already shipped the widget, even though really a remorse return, that would have hit your metrics and cost you original shipping as well as a return shipping label.
Sheesh, if you're that upset with a cancellation block the buyer but IMO, you're over-reacting.

·4 months agoYou can't. For us smaller sellers there is no need to have such automated feedback. Just keep a polite short reply somewhere and then copy and paste that feedback for buyers once or twice a week.

·4 months agoI think this thread is getting slightly muddled over the difference between a seller's automated feedback reply that this OP leaves for the buyer when a purchase is initially made (it's a seller preference), and eBay's automated Positive comment that they leave for the seller if that buyer doesn't leave one of his own within a couple or weeks or so. If the buyer adds their own feedback later it will supersede and overwrite eBay's automatic comment.
In this case the OP has an automated feedback reply that he wants to remove from the buyer's record because the buyer cancelled afterward and never actually received the product.

·4 months agoeBay Automated Feedback left for sellers by buyers can be replaced, but eBay has allowed sellers to automatically leave feedback for buyers for a very long time, and that feedback can never be changed once left (eBay can remove it if they leave negative comments, but the seller never had the option to change it). The difference is that sellers have full control over the setup of that automated feedback that they are leaving, it’s not being provided by eBay in lieu of the seller choosing to leave feedback.

Auto Feedback CANNOT be replaced that came from a Seller.
Auto Feedback that a SELLER leaves a BUYER is very different from the ebay 'automated feedback' that is left for a SELLER.

·4 months agoYou cannot REMOVE the automated feedback, but you can REPLACE it with your own.
Any feedback that you leave - whether positive, negative or neutral - will replace the automated feedback that is left when a sale is completed.
If you don't want your user ID to appear on the list of feedback at all, well, you're out of luck there. That's just how the feedback system works.

·4 months agoI think the seller is referring to the feedback that she leaves for a buyer as soon as they pay for an item, not the automated feedback eBay leaves when no one else does. She doesn't want her store "to be associated with" the buyer because the buyer cancelled the order and the transaction did not take place.

You can't remove the automated feedback you have left.
Honestly, no one is going to notice that you left feedback for her, let alone associate your shop name with her. No one.
You are putting way too much importance on this. And if it is going to bother you this much, just don't leave automated feedback as soon as a buyer pays.
