I sold a book and just want to send seller a note that I'll send Monday because my postal service is closed today.

·2 years agoSome buyers will appreciate a message others will hate you for annoying them unnecessarily.
Odds are the Deep River Jim buyer will be annoyed.

·2 years agoFind the order from your sold listings and to the right of View Order Details is a blue clickable link with a dropdown menu. You have to scroll to the bottom to find the contact buyer option. I always email buyers on Saturday if it won't ship until Monday, just as a curtesy. If I print the shipping label and they get a notice it's on the way I don't want them thinking it might come Monday. Some people go out of their way to be home when packages are expected.

·2 years agoWhile I pack orders on weekends I do not print the labels or mark as shipped until late on Sunday or early on Monday.
If I as a buyer want to know the exact date of delivery so I can be there I would be looking at tracking because anything a seller could tell me would only be a guess/estimate.

·2 years agoIf they don't check tracking then they don't know when you ship beyond the notification from eBay that a label has been purchased. This is the reason I only print labels on the day of shipping (usually VERY early in the morning.
I use a third-party providor for shipping so I can enter all the required information at any time which just leaves printing and applying on shipping day. I haven't used eBay's shipping system since the early 2000's. Is it possible with eBay to enter info and then come back a day later to print them?
I also ship a lot via carriers that are not integrated with eBay so other than USPS (I don't use FedEx or UPS) I can't upload tracking info and I have to manually Mark As Shipped which I usually do AFTER the package is in the carriers hands.

Not sure why you need to tell the buyer that you are not shipping an order made on Friday night until Monday. While some sellers can and do ship on Saturday it is by no means a standard thing.
