How can I bulk update my listings description?
Summary: czekl123 is attempting to update multiple listings with the same wording at the end of the description but encounters issues with eBay's bulk listing tool, as their listings are not eligible. They are seeking criteria for eligibility and more information. ellimac_34 explains that eBay's bulk edit isn't available to all sellers or listing types and suggests using the CSV method or third-party tools like 3Dsellers or InkFrog for bulk edits, recommending backing up the current descriptions beforehand.
I have many listings that need to be updated with the same exact wording placed at the end of the description. When I attempt to use the bulk listing tool it says that my listings are not eligible for this.
These following instructions don't work, when at the Item Description I cannot edit it "Your listings are not eligible".
Is there a criteria? If so, what is it? How do I know or where to find this info? These instructions simply don't work for the listings I'm wanting to update the description on.

·1 month agoYou've probably hit the annoying part: eBay's bulk description edit isn't available to every seller or every listing type, and there's no clear explanation of who's eligible. The workaround inside eBay is the CSV route, download your active listings from Seller Hub Reports, edit the description column in a spreadsheet, and upload the revision file. If that feels too fragile, third-party bulk editors don't have the eligibility restriction. 3Dsellers can push description changes across all your listings at once, and InkFrog does similar. Just back up your current descriptions by downloading the file first, in case an edit goes sideways.

·3 years agoYou have 29 auctions. Try leaving those off the bulk edit and only update the fixed-price listings.
Not sure, but I think the auctions cannot be edited with the fixed-price listings at the same time.

OP3 years agoThe link provided above says I can:

I meet all guidelines to add to the end of a description. I've experimented, trying to do just a few. The listing I need to edit I cannot, and there is no reason I can find why.

·2 years agoIs it possible you had an offer out on that item? If you have sent an offer the listing cannot be updated until it expires.
