Holiday Slowdown
I'm noticing a significant slowdown in sales for my stores starting this week. Sales have been good until a few days ago. It could be linked to holiday shipping time. Anyone else experiencing this?

·2 years agoThe first part of December was OK for me, but now I don't expect to sell much as my items aren't what people buy as Christmas presents.

·2 years agoNope, I've had a pretty steady stream of things to ship. I think it helps that I sell both things people would want to give as Christmas gifts AND things that people want to buy for themselves.

·2 years agoExtremely disappointed this year. 4th quarter came and went for me. I may as well go on vacation mode for the rest of December.

·2 years agoWith shipping times becoming more of an issue this time of year, I'm considering "Time Away" until the 25th just to avoid dealing with damage control.

·2 years agoMy Sales have been very good up until this week. I sell a lot of seasonal this time of year. I attribute it to shipping and "getting it before Christmas" I totally expected this...just like last year.

·2 years agoThis week has slowed for me too.
I am about to go into time away mode tomorrow though, as I don't want to deal with late packages. Most buyers are understanding... but there are always the few that aren't. I don't want the added stress.

·2 years agoI hear you on that, thankfully I don't sell too many Christmas presents. I know I sold a few earlier this month (because people told me and were confirming I could ship quickly when they purchased).
I had one request a week ago to get an item to the UK by Christmas. I told him I don't want to guarantee it, because if I say it will probably get there (and generally speaking there would have been enough time), that's when there's a big delay and it doesn't get there... certainly ruins my day to get a nasty message from a buyer, so better he buy something on the UK site that can get there on time.

·2 years agoIf people buy stuff for Christmas, they generally like to have it by Christmas. It's simple math.

This week was slow for me too.

Good morning
It could be a lot of reasons. The one that hits home the most is shipping. I'm sure most carriers are bombarded with parcels, cards etc. Most people out there are aware of this and choose not to purchase on line due to this reason. I have not had any sales since last weekend and it was my best weekend all year. Now...the cheese stands alone. Back to the Christmas cookies & eggnog. lol. 😊
Happy Holidays to you and yours
