Holding item purchased
I am just getting back into selling on eBay after many years. I have a question hopefully someone on this forum would be kind enough to take their time to answer.
I sold an item through buy it now. The customer is interested in another item that is up for auction. She has asked if I can hold the item she has purchase, until she knows if she has also won the auction item.
Is holding an item purchased possible? If so, is there anything I need to do to indicate items is being held?

·3 years agoIf the buyer has paid, you need to ship within your handling time to not get a shipping defect on your selling account.
If it hasnt been paid, have the buyer pay for both once the 2nd item closes.
If the 1st item is paid, I would complete the auction by selling to this buyer.
Have the buyer pay and combine shipping.

If they have paid, I should print out the shipping labels, but hold off shipping until the other auction item they are interested is over. Is that correct? Will I get dinged if I print out the shipping label but ship the items at a later date?
Can I bother you for one more question? I really have tried to find answers on eBay seller sites.
I indicated a flat rate for shipping. If when I actually print out the shipping label and the shipping is less than I indicated (probably around .50 less) who gets that extra money. Does the buyer get a refund? Does the money go to ebay or the seller?

·3 years agoWhat is your handling time set at? If you hold the first item beyond that you will get dinged for late shipment.
