High dollar listings bought buy Zero Feedback buyers
Can someone explain what is going on with zero feedback buying items that are apparently EXTREMELY overpriced.
As an example, Beanie Baby Snort with errors, the top 12 prices are from zero feedback buyers.
Are these legit buys or some sort of scam?
Thanks!

·2 years agoSome have posted that it is done to falsely overinflate the perceived value of an item to make it show a high average selling cost.
Those sales may not actually be sales. Just "solds" that were never completed.

·2 years agoSometimes these sales are attempts to set a price level for the items.
Sometimes these sales are a money laundering process.
Sometimes these sales are legit.

Thanks!

·2 years agoI don’t think it is any scam. I think it is just uneducated buyers some of the time and most of the time sport bidders.
Some of the sales are legit but the sport bidders usually end up not paying.
I sell a lot of items to zero feedback sellers. I love them because the usually are new collectors and will be repeat customers.

OP2 years agoAlthough I've been around ebay a long time, I'm not familiar with the term "sport bidder"
