Hey, Community Team! When will agenda for the Holiday Seller Check In be posted?
@devon@ebay
The Winter/Holiday Seller Check In is scheduled for Thursday Nov 16th.
The notice says:
"Join us for the last Seller Check-In of the year....
The event *agenda will be published three weeks prior to the event date. Check back for more details.
*Subject to change"
Three weeks prior to the event date. That would have been this past Thursday, October 26th. If it is posted tomorrow, it will be two weeks prior to the event. not three weeks.
I note ebay gave itself wiggle room, with its "subject to change" statement, but its not really clear whether that means the agenda is subject to change, the date of the event is subject to change, or the time period in which to post the agenda is subject to change.
Now, I do realize we're talking about ebay, and ebay has never felt constrained by such old fashioned things as deadlines and schedules, and feels free to change them on a whim, but....this is a very busy time of the year, and it would really be nice to know the agenda so I can decide whether to block out time to attend or do other things.
So, could you find out just when the agenda will ACTUALLY be posted? And has the date and time remained the same, or will that be changing?

·2 years ago@my-cottage-books-and-antiques it's still not posted publicly but check your eBay messages - some sellers got this today:

Thanks, I see it in my messages. But as you say, no agenda posted as of yet....so we are now two weeks away, not three. Sigh.
So, I'm wondering what this part means? "Breakout sessions on seasonal advertising"
Could it be the Marketing Team is finally going to reveal their plans for their big Holiday Marketing Campaign? After all, the "biggest shopping blitz of the year is almost here" , so this would be a good time...in fact, probably the last possible chance, to give us all some insight into what ebay is doing to market the many small businesses here.
Or, wait....nah....it couldn't mean they are going to give us tips---yet again--- on how we can use Promoted Listings to advertise our stuff?
I guess we'll just have to wait and see.....

·2 years ago@my-cottage-books-and-antiques no it couldn't mean just that...I'm sure there will be something in there about how sellers should use coupons and discounts and take offers too. 🙄

OP2 years ago@valueaddedresource Yep! And maybe they'll finally talk about Promoted Listings Display Beta....and of course, if they are going to do that, this would be a great time to announce the new Store Referral Fee FVF Discount! (Oh, and maybe I'll sprout wings and fly to the moon, too! It is that magical time of year, after all.)

I'll be honest, I have no idea why , after all these years, I still think ebay might be capable of honoring a time frame they themselves set. My bad.
