Help Needed: Unresolved eBay Case and Pending Refund
Summary: copierssupplier6 is experiencing an unresolved issue with an eBay order where a refund was given to the buyer despite proof of delivery. Although the case was initially closed in their favor and multiple eBay agents confirmed a refund request had been made, the promised refund has not been processed. They have faced repeated delays and contradictory information from different agents, leading to frustration. They seek advice on how to escalate the issue to ensure a thorough review and resolution.
I've been dealing with a lingering issue involving an eBay order.
The buyer opened an Item Not Received (INR) case, but the case was closed in our favor on January 19 after we submitted the Proof of Delivery (POD) on January 15. On January 17, an eBay agent confirmed that the POD had been received and reviewed.
Despite this, on February 11, eBay reversed the decision without providing any justification and refunded the buyer, even though the item had been delivered and the case had already been closed in our favor.
We appealed the decision the same day. An eBay agent reviewed the POD again and confirmed that a manual refund to our account had been requested. On June 16, another eBay agent reconfirmed that a request had been submitted to return the funds to us, subject to resolving certain account issues.
Those account issues have since been fully resolved, but the promised refund still has not been processed.
The most frustrating part is that every time I contact eBay, I have to explain the entire case again. Some agents claim the POD was never submitted, while others confirm it was received and that a manual refund was requested. I am repeatedly told to wait another 48 hours, but no one follows up with an actual resolution.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation? What is the best way to get this escalated to someone who will review the complete case history and finally process the promised refund?
