HELP! Ebay app glitch posted incorrect prices, had to cancel, now have DEFECT
The eBay app had a glitch for a while recently where it would override the BIN price I entered with an auto-generated one. I went on Reddit and many other people had this issue with the app.
Most of the time I would catch the error revise the price ASAP. I even developed a system where my prices ended in 93 cents to make sure it was the correct price and not the fake one installed by the app glitch.
A few times I did not catch this error and an item would sell super fast (because buyers were swift to buy $200 item priced at an unheard-of $19 for example). And I would apologize to the buyer, explain the issue, and relist. They always understood because they knew the actual value of the item and knew something had to be off.
I just realized the other day that eBay was taking like 40% in final value fees. When I looked into it I saw there was an additional fee "for below standard performance." Several cancellations brought a "defect" onto my account punishable by very high fees.
But I only cancelled due to eBay's error of altyering prices.
I spoke to a representative on the phone last night for 40 minutes and he understood and said he would have the defect removed and the extra final value fees returned. But today I got an automated email saying it would stay!
I know this is a complex problem but I need help! I cannot afford such high fees.
