Having no luck on ebay at all in the last few months - been selling for 26 years...
I have been on ebay selling for 26 years - this last few years have been very bad for selling. Ebay is having problems somewhere as they now as us to try listing on Buy it now? I listed over 40 items on buy it now for two weeks and nothing all. I have had 51 items listed for the last 3 - 4weeks and sold nothing at all...they keep askingme to drop the price and when they ask me to list at .99 cents i take the item off listing - and give it away to charity. This is no fun anymore - it is just keeping us seniors something to do - we are no making any money selling on here at all. They include fees - other charges on shipping - and that has gone up at least double in the last 26 years... i think they should
change their our marketing system before the go under.

·1 year agoodd.......I see 2 solds in July......6 previous sales in 90 days........48 unsold. All auctions. Don't see any fixed price......perhaps another id?
You are in Canada and consequently shipping is high.......... hard thing to overcome. Hope things get better for you......

·1 year agoJust a couple of observations I think may help.
First, ignore ebay "suggestions." They are trying to turn a profit just as you are. Do what makes sense for you.
Your pictures need to pop off of the page. Your phone/ pc should have some built-in software to brighten your pictures.
I am not convinced auctions are the best way to sell your items. Auctions work best when there are several persons vying for the same item. Most of your items are unique and I think it will take "your" buyer a while to find you. Try fixed price for 6 months. It is also summer so buyers are out and about doing other things.
From your listing: "Sold as is not returns or refunds." You may want to brush up on the money back guarantee.

Less than 15% of listings are Auction. Even those often include BuyIt Now or Best Offer options that effectively make the auction into a fixed price listing.
And this has been true for over a decade.
I listed over 40 items on buy it now for two weeks and nothing all.
The point with Fixed Price is that it allows the customer time to find the listing. With over two billion listings at any given time, allowing the customer a little leeway is important.
I have about 1500 listings on this account and have sold items that have been listed for seven or eight years. Fortunately, my stock is compact and fits in three bookcases, and five bankers boxes.
You can have up to 250 Fixed Price listed absolutely free.
Are you dropping Unsold listings after X days? There is no need.
Fixed Price listings are good for 30 days and will relist automatically.
And both new and relisting items will give you a boost in Search.
BTW- is there any particular reason why you as a Canadian seller do not ship to Canada? The cost of shipping is higher than the discounted rates we get from eBay/Canada Post but about 10% of my sales are domestic (and 10% overseas).

·1 year agoI suspect manny sellers may agree, life is simply too short to allow items to be unsold for 7 or more years
Constant listing of quantities of fresh merchandise will likely motivate avid or frequent buyers to come back again and again

·1 year agoI'm sorry you are having a hard time selling. It happens to a lot of perfectly good sellers 24/7/365. If you were to review the Seller Forum you would find other threads on the same subject. When there is 18 million active sellers, we all can't do well all the time. It is just not going to happen. There is too much competition.
In the meantime. Take a look to see if there are ways you can improve pics, titles, pricing etc. I know, I'm sure you have heard it before.
Also don't forget to check to see if anyone is watching your items so you can send them an offer. That is often a great way to turn a watcher into a customer.
