Has anyone experienced Delivered -> Return to Sender on a high-value INR case?
Summary: apf-drones inquires if anyone has experienced a situation where a high-value 'Item Not Received' (INR) case results in a 'Delivered' status followed by a 'Return to Sender' notice. broto_64 and caldreamer have not provided more details or their experiences on this issue.
I am an international eBay seller and I use eBay's official SpeedPAK Standard service through eDIS.
Recently, I encountered a very unusual Item Not Received case involving a high-value DJI product.
USPS tracking shows:
Delivered, Front Desk/Reception/Mail Room (June 3)
Return to Sender Processed (June 😎
USPS also indicates that additional investigation may be required, and I have already opened a USPS investigation request.
At the same time, I noticed something unusual with a couple of recent high-value orders for the same product. The street names appear to contain slight spelling variations that are difficult to verify.
For example:
"Hiiqh St"
which appears very similar to:
"High St"
Â
"De Fleld Dr"
which appears very similar to:
"La Field Dr"
Â
I do not know whether these are typing mistakes, OCR issues, or something else. However, I am wondering whether small address spelling variations could contribute to USPS situations where an item is first marked as delivered and later enters the Return to Sender process.
I am not accusing any buyer or competitor of wrongdoing. I am simply trying to determine whether other sellers have experienced similar patterns involving:
High-value electronics
Delivered -> Return to Sender tracking history
Addresses with unusual spelling variations
INR claims after successful delivery
If anyone has encountered something similar, I would appreciate hearing how eBay handled the case and what evidence was most helpful.
Thank you.

·1 month agoUnfortunately, there are many scammers on EBAY who figured out how to get items "for free".  EBAY will not help you if you get scammed.
Â
Just so you know, EBAY is temporarily blocking any replies on this Seller Chat Room from June 11 through June 15.  So, you probably should ask your question after June 16 (this way other sellers can share their advice regarding your problem).
Â
Hope everything works out well for you.

Would not work for me, ebay will give me an error and an opportunity to edit/ correct this.
Ebay will not allow me to purchase a label for an address that is wrong / does not exist.
Therefore, at least for me, the variation is either an actual street address or I can't purchase the label unless I find out the correct address and edit the wrong one.
